I met him at a bodybuilding competition- hearty handshake and a pat on the back to everyone he met!

One of a kind..RIP :rose:

Jack LaLanne, whose obsession with grueling workouts and good nutrition, complemented by a salesman’s gift, brought him recognition as the founder of the modern physical fitness movement, died Sunday afternoon at his home in Morro Bay, Calif. He was 96.

The cause was respiratory failure resulting from pneumonia, said his son Dan Doyle.

96. Without all that extra muscle and with a couple of real meals a day, he might have made it to 110.

I heard this on the news on the way home from work.

96, wow! Most of us should be so lucky to even see our 80's.

Rest in peace, good sir.

I hadn't realized he held the patent for the leg extension machine you see in every gym in the country.

I've got one of his juicers ... great little machine for all sorts of healthy, tasty drinks.

He could do more pushups than all of us put together...and I can do a lot of pushups.
