In my own view, the country singer, who peaked in the 90s, was very much an underrated musician. If you’ve ever heard the guy sing, you’ll have a better understanding, I think. It’s just a very raw pain, joy, etc. No filter at all.

I don't have my contacts in and thought this said Jack Ketchum who wrote Offseason, Girl Next Door and other horror novels and was going to say he died a few years ago...

Edit: looked it up, it was HANK Ketchum...he died in 2001.
