[RIP] colleen thomas

some of you may know of colleen thomas, lit author and one of my very favorite writers here.

i learned just a few minutes ago that she passed on.

there is a thread over in the authors hangout if you're interested.

i had but a handful of exchanges w/ colly but i can say that while i could not have said w/ fairness that she was a friend, she always impressed me with her intelligence and would very much liked to have been able to count her as one.

Saw that when I logged on earlier this afternoon. I never knew Colleen, but I was familiar with her posts because I lurk on the AH pretty often.

The reaction of the AH'ers makes me want to yell out a big old "FUCK YOU" to those people who call this place a "just a porn board." It really is a community.

IMX, a forum is what people choose to invest in it, eilan, but yeah, amen to that.

i will miss her intelligence, wit and zest for life.

Colly was a fantastic writer. And a fantastic person. I'm still at a loss for words.
