Was the Lit Right wing always this crazy and I didn't notice or have they been getting increasingly depraved the last few years?

They want to buy fossil fuels and Big Gulps to spite their opponents, which leads to job creation, but they want to hobble the economy at the same time. It drives them crazy.

I get wanting to hobble the economy. Party first, country second. If your planning world domination you can't compromise. I get that. But I swear they were all saner (minus Hogan who's just Hogan. We need to turn that into a unit of measurement) have just gone insane over the last three or so years.

I have a bone to pick with the right-wingers as well, has anyone seen how hard it is to find .223/5.56, 9mm, and .40 S&W ammunition lately? I despise election time, the gun stores get cleaned out of everything! What's a girl to do :(

Most of our right-fringe on here are getting up there in years.

Their minds are, too.

Stone cold.

Republicans as a whole are not really that crazy. The media who are generally liberals just sensationalize those that are in fact crazy to impugn the whole party. If you look there are just as many nutjob democrats running around.

I disagree.

I dont think the party is crazy, but they all seem to be embracing the "no compromise, no negotiation, fuck the economy" mentality. Not just those in office either. Ive heard plenty of right wingers in real life puff up with pride at being known as the "party of no".

The mega corporations are making serious money from food stamps. If you bought crap on your own dime you wouldnt buy all the snax and soda you can get with the EBT card. Working stiffs cant afford it.

Dude, just STFU. Everyone's still laughing at you "magically" being able to respond to one of my threads while claiming to have me on Iggy in the very same thread. How dumb do you have to be to do that?

the ones that are still here have pretty much always been this rabid. the sane ones all left a long, long time ago.

The Democrats in the past have been just as obstinate to make republicans look bad come election time. That's politics. Because we are in such a bad economy the behavior is magnified.

No they haven't. They frankly lack the testicular fortitude to do so.

Everyone? Such generalities you love to spew.

You were on ignore. I did a search on Busybody and the thread popped up because he posted in it.

Get over yourself, everybody else has.

Maybe with the next republican president the dems will be "just as bad". I agree its been a downward decline in the last 15 years or so with each party getting worse and worse, but the GOP has so far reached a new low.

This I absolutely agree with and posted about.

Get a Lee press and dies, an RCBS primer tool, plenty of Hogdon powder (type of your choice), and reload your own ammo, like the rest of us! ;)

Just FYI, using an Obama or Holder paper target at the range is optional, but damn is it ever fun!

You want to use a gun to shoot at Obama and Holder, on the grounds that they're going to take away your guns, even though...there you are, standing there with a gun.

Proving the title of this thread really nicely, I'd say.

I don't want either party to get control at this point. If we can't have limited government (the smallest possible government is the best government) then the next best thing is totally ineffective, checkmated, stagnated and frustrated government. It is hard to prevent government domination of the people it pretends to represent, but it does honor the beliefs of the Founding Fathers, and describes full well why the first US government they formed was under the Articles of Confederation.

The smallest government possible is not he best government. This is a right win lie and all who preach it are by definition right wing liars. This does not respresent what the Founding Fathers wanted and it's exactly the reason the Articles of Confederation failed. The best possible government is the most effective one. Not big, not small. EFFECTIVE. What we have now is the worst possible governmet. One paralyzed by a minority party.

I glanced at all the reloading supplies in the last Cabela catalog and half considered it. The main issue being:

A. I do not get to shoot on my own dime at the moment (and that looks like an expensive investment).

B. I have no idea how to even begin to learn about reloading, it looks so... complicated.

Granted Cabela could just be trying to say I need all those fancy gadgets just to make more profit.

Don't let the amount of gadgetry on the market intimidate you. You don't need even close to all of it, and getting started is actually pretty basic.

It doesn't take a huge outlay to get started, about $300-500, which can cut your ammo expenses in half over time, assuming you save and clean your own brass (about half of your cost incurred when you buy commercial ammo is for the brass). Pistol reloads are simpler than rifle loads due to the easier cleaning of the brass, and the shaping and trimming of rifle brass for shanked ammo. It's really not extremely complicated at all ..

1) cleaning and depriming of brass (used primers are pressed out w/a depriming/shaping die)
2) repriming the brass with a new primer (recommend RCBS primer tool)
3) charging the round with a measured powder quantity
4) Pressing a bullet to a measured length into the brass with bullet press/die
5) crimping the round with a crimping die for a good gas seal

Dies come in sets of 4 dies, and are specific to the caliber you wish to reload.

Knowing what bullet types and powder charges to use are highly published as recipes, and as easy to follow. A lot of gun clubs also offer instruction, or can direct you to instructors.
