More of a plot bunny than. A straight-up idea:

Essentially, no matter the story, a sex scene must happen on the bride's dress, whether it's before or after the wedding.

Some ideas:

1. Hubby has a huge lace fetish. New wife teases him with the train before lying back on the dress and getting plowed by him.

2. Chubby wife pulls out wedding dress from storage and tries to put it on, even getting naked to help put it on. Overweight husband comes in, is surprised then laughs about the situation. They agree to lose the weight together...but since the wife's already naked...no reason they can't start some physical activity right then.

3: Bride has been having an affair on and off with her brother and they agree to have one last night before the wedding. Brother has the dress flipped inside out so he can come on the inside of the dress and she can feel it against her when she walks down the aisle.

4: bride makes joke at sister's expense during the reception and then make her take care of the dress. Sis gets revenge by seducing many of the bride's in-laws, her own family members, and even the groom while letting all of the juices decorate the wedding gown.

* Gown is ensorceled, luring each bridesmaid to try it on. All who wear it go sluttish. The gown does the rounds; at the wedding, Bridget jumps the priest.

Totally different, Mature/Romance: Old gown was among fabrics forming anniversary quilt (community tradition). Couple in bed reminisces, tracing every patch on the quilt as a waypoint in their common history. The stains mark their post-nuptial consummation -- the blood shows she was a virgin, right? Hmmm, is anniversary quilt made by bride on 50th, or by bride's mother on 1st, or by community women on the 10th?

Another: Tempestuous married couple reaches breaking point. Bridget or Gary try to burn the gown to emphasize their dissolution. Gown refuses to burn. It's a Sign From God: they're meant for each other, dammit. Cue the HEA fiddles.
