It's now o8.19am Sunday 18th November.

I came home about three hours ago from a Diwali party. For those who don't know it's the Hindi New Year.

There's one thing about the Asians, they know how to throw a good thrash!

The curry was out of this world, the guests were all stimulating conversationalists, the beer flowed, the music was loud. The kids had their own disco room (a hastily converted bedroom). Nobody was left out.

It was a great, great night...

Thankyou Nilen

Thankyou Raj

and thankyou Parish...

:)

you could have told us this BEFORE midnight, so we could've celebrated too

(sipping my iced water...dreaming of curry and beer)

I forgot to mention the fireworks...

bigger and better than when I took my friends' two boys to the school firework display a couple of weeks ago...

:D

Hi pp

Now Diwali is over, It would be a good time to get in touch with any Muslim friends during Ramadan- those from certain parts of the world have a great bash at the end of the month. Eid Ul Fitr they call it- and then it will be time for Christmas and the New Year.
You might manage to fit in Hanukah too if you know any Jewish people.
That's what multiculturalism means to me...more parties!
