Ridiculous Things that Idiots Believe About Islam

As I have said several times, I am referring to the here and now.

My apologies Box, but as you originally referred to a Battle which took place in July 1187 and the religion of the Mongols in a similar period you must forgive me for having assumed that your 'here and now' is some 800+ years in the past.

My evidence(not belief) based contention still stands up, all the organised religions have comitted apalling atrocities in the name of their various gods. One is no better or worse than any other. :)

Apology accepted. My post which you reference was in response to Cloudy's inane OP. She started with the here and now, and I expressed disagreement, then harked back 800+ years for some reason. I disagreed with her about that too, and I expressed my disagreement, citing the Battle of Hattin. The thrust of her post and mine was a comparison between Christian and Muslim fanatics.

I definitely agree adherents of those two faiths have been guilty of some apalling atrocities, but I don't know that I would say that about ALL organized religions. There may be one, possibly Buddhism, that preaches love and tolerance and actually practices it.
