Okay a simple riddle thread.

You can either post a riddle or answers.

Riddles can be anything from childish one liners, to advanced logic puzzles.

Just have fun.

Here's one, although I don't know if the brits will get it.

How can a pitcher pitch a perfect game when his team commits an error.

An error which does not allow a baserunner, such as a misplayed foul ball, may occur in a perfect game.

When you choke a Smurf (la - la, la - la - la - la) what color does it turn?

(Does this count as a childish one-liner or an advanced logic puzzle?) :D

(After 30 minutes of logical consideration)
It's fucking cartoon!

If no one provides any answers I'm not reading this thread.

Perdita :p

1. If your team commits an error on tuesday & you are pitching on Wed. it wouldn't affect your perfect game.

2. If you retire no batters at all and are pulled before the first out is recored, technically you were perfect.

The first answer to the baseball riddle was correct. An error which does not result in a baserunner, such as a dropped foul ball.

Here's a longer one.

A man is speaking to his friend. He tells him that his grandfather, William Nelson, was awarded a sword for his valor from the leader of France during World War 1.

His friend doesn't believe him, so he shows him the sword.

Engraved on the sword is the following:

(Yes it was it French, this is the translation.)

"This sword awarded to Sergeant William Nelson, US Army, for exceptional valor during the struggle of World War I.

Awarded this day, January 15, 1919."

And it was signed: George Clemenceau

The man immediately told his friend that it was a fake. How did he know?

(Yes, George Clemenceau was the leader of France at the time.)
