Rich Text

Anyone else having difficulties submitting stories in Ric Text, or has that been resolved?
As far as I can tell, Lit's problems with RTF has to do with the amount of tracked changes in the file. Lit doesn't have any problems with a "clean" RTF file.

To tell if your file is full of excess markups, open it in Notepad or other pure text editor and check to see if paragraphs are broken up by unnecessary markup text.

This is a sample of a clean RTF file -- although the file does have an image or six in it which would cause problems with Lit.

Code:
\pard\ltrpar\keepn\pagebb\s1\sb2400\sa600\qc\kerning36\b\fs48 Afterword\line by Eric Flint\par
\pard\ltrpar\fi360\sa60\kerning0\b0\fs24 It is one of the pieces of accepted wisdom in fiction writing that stories written in collaboration are almost invariably weaker than stories written by authors working alone. Since I enjoy sticking my thumb in the eye of accepted wisdom, I like to think I've done it again with this book\emdash as well as a number of others I've written in collaboration with several different authors.\par

Note that the example does not word wrap; that is normal although some RTF files use "\" as a line-continuation marker meaning that there is no line break even though the file has wordwrapped.
