I've recently 'discovered' a new (to me) genre of erotica which I call Backseat Incest. The premise is as follows: The family takes car, but the vehicle is so packed that Mom has to sit on Son's lap on the backseat, kind of obscured from the driving Husband/Father (other variants exists as well I presume). Needless to say, soon things get heated and the duo... you know the drill.

Here I'd post my review of two such stories (in separate posts), maybe more in the future. Discussions are encouraged, as well as linking other stories like that. Enjoy!

Backseat Mommy by @silkstockingslover.

This is a seven-parter and I'll go one by one.

Chapter 1: My favorite entry in the series. Despite its the very first chapter, I think it's both the hottest and the most diverse. I especially like the last fuck on the ride, when Mom leans over and Son takes over the fuck, although I don't know why.

Chapter 2: This chapter introduces two new tropes to the series: anal and dom/sub. Anal isn't something I very much enjoy in smut, but it's not a no-go for me. Dom/sub I have nothing against, but it doesn't fit this story IMO (at least that way). Those are however very subjective things, the execution is still good.

Chapter 3: My least favorite from the series. Son takes Mom to a gloryhole, which doesn't work for me as their sexual relationship is only 2 days long. Also people who get interested about cliffhanger didn't get nothing.

Chapter 4: The sedond most favorite. Even if they fucked in the car with Dad in the front seat, having sex in the same room as he sleeps (in the same bed even!) still remains very hot.

Chapter 5: This is the most standard one. To be honest, I don't remember much, good or bad, but I assume it was at least solid.

Chapter 6: This chapter begins... weird af. Dad reveals he knows about Mom and Son fucking (figured), but reveals some secrets of his own which allows the couple to part on very friendly terms (including a scene which wouldn't happen today). But except from that, it's my third favorite part, very naughty and illicit. The only downfall is that the incest taboo isn't as much an taboo here, and it's a major thing about it.

Chapter 7: The thing that continues the story, but technically isn't put in the series - I suspect misclick from the author when adding it. To be honest it kind of feels like forced to me, like the Author wanted lesbian sex, not caring about the overall story. Taking the whole context, for me it's OOC for Mom to do anything sexual behind Son's back at this point. Also, everything happens so fast here, that despite lesbian sex it's one of my least favorite in the series.

I have a feeling I mostly complained, but generally I had a good time reading this story, and some parts are really nice. 7/10.

Mom's Sweaty Ride by @richman3

Four part story. However beware, because for some reason Lit shows the first part as a fourth part, so make sure to pick a proper one.

Anyway, chapter 1 is almost the same as chapter 1 of above story. Two things distinguishe them: that one is shorter and seduction is shorter, and the pov sometimes switches from Mom to Son. All things considered, it's hot, although kind of 'standard'.

Second chapter though is where the real fun begins and the reception may be both positive and/or negative.

It start for some good kind-of-realistic stuff (there were traces of this before, like Father's anosmia - in the above it was a subject of continuity error), as during a pause Mom smashes rear mirror and tries to make more place on the back. But later on, it goes with the wind, sometimes literally. Foremost, the incestous couple gets totally naked instead leaving tops on - even more, her dress is blown away by the wind. Even more: after their sex they fall asleep - still naked! - for half an hour!

However, as silly as it was (even in-universe)... it was so fucking hot! Really, the sex here is over the chart and I greatly enjoyed all of it. Especially as I really like silliness in porn, whcih for me is a subgenre of the comedy.

Chapter 3 takes a dark turn, when it's revealed... that Dad indeed knew about them fucking! (How couldn't he? Half an hour!) And when he tries to make her pay, he slips and has to be taken to the hospital. This chapter is practically sexless, but deals with character's emotions, so it's welcomed.

Chapter 4 gets back to the incestous pair, as they fuck when Dad sleeps after his surgery (conveniently, the accident could or could not render him amnesiac - it's never specified). This isn't sex-only chapter though, as there're also a lot of emotion. But mostly fuck, and very solid fuck to that.

Anyway, two first parts are a great read, and the two last aren't bad as well. 7+/10.

It was probably the best in the genre I read. To be hones, it kind of utilizes the setting the least, but damn it's hot, especially dirty talk.
Also nicely twisted because it explains that Dad didn't spotted anything... because he was himself engaged with lewd activity with Daughter. She spotted though...

Its a popular niche, the most favorited story of all time here is Sitting on My Mom's Lap from 2009

Silk's Story is the next Mom/lap story on the list, #5 from 2015

Mom Takes a Ride is #10 but is from 2001 so if its not the first in its genre, its damn close

TTT's story is from 2013, he copied the popular idea, he didn't inspire it. Grits teeth to not say anything else on the that person.

I imagine in time Silk's story will end up in the number one spot based on the combination of how popular this head scratching niche is, and how insanely popular she herself is.

I feel this entire sub-genre is an elaborate way of reminding us all about road safety and to 'always keep your eye on the road, no matter what (even if your son is fucking your wife in the backseat)'

It‘s on there. 1288 favs. “Mom Son Lap Halloween” isn’t really a typical lap story though. The lap scene is a small part of the plot. I just used “lap” in the title to attract attention.

I agree. We all have our little quirks with what we like don't like. The I/T category really stretches reality but for some reason this concept always makes me roll my eyes. To each their own, but I like a little more thought put into the encounters

I read some incest story, but am strongly against it irl. It works in fiction on some level because it's one if the last taboo. There's a topic here on Lit dedicated to discuss tge popularity.

Thanks for your honest answer. Actually, you referred to father-daughter incest in there, which I hadn't expected. It's a difficult question, or actually several. How much have we written on Lit that more or less really happened to us? How many are fantasies are that we would try if we had the chance? And how many are fantasies that would repel us in real life?

Which brings up one more question: why do we imagine things that we don't actually want to do? (I do have personal experience with such matters.) The human mind is mysterious. I was going to start a thread elsewhere about Carl Jung's theory of The Shadow Self (seriously!) that might be applicable to a lot of what we write here.

Another interesting case. It's even more kinky that most works in this genre, but it's welcomed. Usually I prefer for at least one person being oblivious for what's happening, but can also work with how it unfolds here. There are also some triggers for others, like using notorious n-word for sexual purpose. Really hope it turns into series, because those teasers by the end are hot!

As someone who loves to read incest (I also write incest....a lot...and have several stories here on Literotica) incest, I also have noticed several stories with this premise. Hell, I've even written the 'on the way to college daddy/daughter' story myself....although the sex was in a motel instead of a car.

I suspect it's popular because it's familiar. Most of us have been on a long car trip with family before. And even if you haven't you get the concept without a lot of effort.

It also keeps one of the characters young (college bound) but of legal age (at least 18 and out of high school!).

It also fits into one of those 'life changes' moments. Leaving home as a young adult is a threshold that all of us cross at some point, whether it's college, the military, a first apartment, etc. Even if someone reading the story never 'left' home as a young adult, they know someone who did.

It's such a simple concept, and maybe that's why it works so well.

I tend to be of the mindset that it's not the 'concept' that makes a story work, so much as the actual execution.

My husband and I watch a lot of classic television (almost exclusively) and we're currently working our way through Cheers. There's nothing to suggest that people sitting around a neighborhood bar night after night would be an interesting concept, let alone offer anything clever. But Cheers had excellent writing and the actors did a great job inhabiting characters that were (and are) familiar to viewers. The guy who doesn't like his wife, even though he doesn't hate her. The know it all. The sarcastic and constantly irritated person. The overly intellectual character. The nice but well meaning dimwit. The concept didn't make the show great. The execution did.

That's just one example of course, but there are lots of great movie and television shows where the execution rises far above the actual simplistic and familiar concept, and I think that same thing applies to erotica.

We're drawn to the familiar, and end up being absolutely delighted when it's executed with imagination and talent.

At least those are my thoughts over morning coffee. I'm enjoying this thread
