Review of Outstanding Stories

As we're all aware, the "HOT" ranking system is not always a reliable indicator of quality. I would love to read reviews of genuinely outstanding stories, regardless of low viewer count or a less-then-stellar star score. While it would be great to be pointed to high-quality stories to read, this could also be a useful collection of examples for aspiring writers to learn from. Ideally, this will turn into a list of the best of the best. Of course this is subjective, but no harm in sharing our opinions.

My only request is that if you pitch in with a story review, make sure it has at least one quality that stands out as exceptional—e.g. strong characters, superb writing quality, unique plot, perfect pacing, sizzling sex scene, emotionally gripping, and so on.

There is already a thread that captures much of this in the Story Feedback forum. You'll have trouble getting everyone to adopt your format (or to stop them from feeling like they can improve on it by adding X, Y, and Z), but there's no reason you couldn't contribute there as you are here with the benefit of your contributions adding to an existing body of works.

This Discussion Forum doesn't get much traffic. I'd start a thread in the Feedback Forum. It doesn't get huge traffic either, but a lot more than this forum does.

The Feedback Forum is aimed more at writers seeking feedback on their own stories, or folk critiquing stories where the author wants them to, but your approach might get some traction.

Yes, it's similar to what I'm trying to do here. The difference here is that I would like people to outline what is exceptional about the stories, not simply that they enjoyed them. I guess I'm saying I'd like a more critical approach. I'm not saying that thread doesn't have value, only that I'm going for a slightly different thing.
