Tala Janene Fargis waited in the doorway of the great Cathedral for the Priest to finish with his last minute instructions. The occasional creak and jingle of the Knight's men in their chain maile echoed throughout as they stood bored but patient.

The tall Knight absently ran his big hand up and down Tala's left arm as they stood side by side, paying close attention to how tomorrow's events would unfold. Finally the Priest released them, stating the practice had gone well and they could all be dismissed until the morrow.

Tala's heart sang with happiness as she gazed up into the dark brown eyes of her future husband. His own eyes glittered with longing and expectation, his whisperings in her ear turning her face crimson red.

As society dictated, her Knight placed her within his own personal carriage, taking to his horse at its side before departing the now darkened yard of the Cathedral. Several men at arms rode beside his carriage as well as forward to clear the way as they returned to her mother's humble holdings.

Her mother sat across from her, resplendit in her gown of blue, her white hair a shining halo above it. She looked tired but happy, just as Tala felt. They spoke in quiet voices on the long road home. Sometimes coming to tears, knowing their parting was but one more night away.

Tala's right hand twisted the big diamond around and around the third finger of her left hand. Tomorrow a band of gold would be added and she would be his, for all time. She could barely catch her breath thinking of their first wedding night together and put it from her mind least she faint right in the seat in front of her mother. As it was, she was sure her mother noted the red flush of Tala's face as daydreams danced within her head.

It was very late upon their return. Most of the servants had been sent to bed save their personal maids and the stable hand. Tala's mother excused herself, retiring to her end of the large but humble home. Tala's maid loosened the long tresses of her strikingly black hair, brushing it to its full length, hanging just below the long arch of her back. Releases the stays of her corset, then lifiting the white chemise over her head, Tala's maid bid her a good night before slipping from the room with a sleepy yawn.

The gown Tala wore was woven from the finest silk. Another gift from her bethrothed. She ran her hands down the silken sides, only allowing her fingertips a brief touch to her hardened nipples before drawing them away, blushing into the darkness. Vowing she would not sleep even for a second this night before her wedding day, she pulled the heavy down comforter back from her bed and slid within the cold sheets.

Within minutes, her exhaustion claimed her; sending her into a deep, peaceful slumber.

She was finally asleep, the bride to be of my greatest enemy.

Everything was in order, the guards had been bribed, the watchdogs had been conveniently taken away, the servants were sleeping. I was even able to arrange that the front door was open for me.

I walked into the luxurious house as if it was my own, and hastily made my way to her room. I opened the door silently, and carefully stepped beside her, she looked so beautiful and innocent, he didn't deserve her.

I took out a small bottle and placed a small drop in her lips. It was a special concoction she would sleep soundly until I gave her another drop.

I bring her unconcious body to my chariot and we make our way to my place. I take you into a room I have specially prepared for tonight, our special night.

Then I place another drop on her lips.

Tala did not feel well. She awoke with a pounding in her head as if she had too much ale, though she had not. She was shivering, it was so cold.

Slowly she opened her eyes, dreading the morning sun but finding the room nearly pitch black. Blinkingly she looked around, trying to locate the candle she had left by her bed.

The table was gone as was the candle and, this was not her bed. She heard a movement not far away and turned, expecting to see her maid approach. The figure cloaked in shadow was much bigger than her maid, her heart leapt.

Perhaps her valiant Knight had decided not to wait and was even now, slipping quietly towards the bed.

I light the candle by the bed. Allowing Tala to take in the details of my figure.

Then I remove the cloak covering my face displaying myself to her, my pale skin, my green eyes my short dark hair.

"Do you know who I am?" I ask briefly

I take out a stiletto knife and play with it on my hands

"I'm the man your fiance will wish he had never crossed, to you I will only be known as Master, you will become my slave Tala, this will seem crazy to you, but during the course of the night I'm going to break your will completely, replacing it with my own, and tomorrow, you will break your valiant's knight heart"

Admitting my plan to her would make things harder, but it will sure make the challenge worth it.

Tala sat up quickly on the bed, starring at the strange pale man. Her eyes riveted to the stilletto as it moved up and down in his hand, bouncing from one finger to the next expertly.

"I... I have seen your face before. You are a friend... a friend of my bethrothed ... from his childhood, I believe?"

Her eyes darted from the knife back to his face, trying to make sense of what was happening.

"What.. do you mean tomorrow I'll break his heart? Are you insane? He would know something is wrong and take me anyway. He loves me and I him."

Tala watched as he moved closer, a strange gleam in his eye. His lips twisted cruely on his face. She thought him mad and began to shudder.

"I told you that it would sound crazy now..."

I aproach her placing the knife against her neck "I wouldn't move if I were you this is very very sharp" I move the blade around your neck not cutting you.

"To call me a friend is quite a stretch of the word, let's say we have tolerated each other for years, now I had enough." I grab you by the hair and pull your head back.

"Remember my advice" I say as I begin to use the knife to slowly make long cuts through your clothes, starting upwards and moving down, every now and then the knife still cuts your skin since it's so sharp.

Her fear betrayed her through her small body's trembling. She winced loudly when he grabbed her hair, pulling it roughly back - exposing her long slender throat to the sharp blade of the stiletto.

"Please..." she whispered quietly. "Please.. I am sure.. if... the two of you spoke.. you could again... be friends?"

Tala's chest heaved, taking in gulps of air as the knife traveled over her body, nicking small areas, drawing blood.

"Please.. I am.. to be married tomorrow Sir. Please.. don't..." Tala lifted one hand in the air pleadingly.

"oh... we were never friends but we talked alot, specially about how he was better than me for being noble."

I stash the knife away for a moment, and cup her cheek reassuringly

"if you behave I won't hurt you... that much"

I reach for one of the opening I created with the knife and pull roughly, soon I continue with the rest of her clothes. exposing her body to me, leaving her only covered with shreds of the clothes she once had.

My eyes studying her small vulnerable figure, not only with anger now, but with a rapidly increasing lust

Tala's entire body shuddered beneath his gaze. The knife pressed to her neck sharp and lethal. She wanted to shake her head savagely and wake from this nightmare. In barely twelve hours she is to be wed to the man she has loved her entire life.

Perhaps if she kept him talking,

"If you behave I won't hurt you... that much."

"Look, I know him. Probably better than anyone. Let me... let me talk to him. I know he could find a place for you ... perhaps ... on his staff or counsel?" Taking a breath she forged ahead, "His men at arms are worthy, honorable men. I've not heard one speak ill of him as a Master or Commander."

His swift, violent reaction stunned her. The immediate back-hand caught her across the mouth. Her soft, full lip split on impact, sending her reeling back against the bed that was not hers.

"You won't negotiate your way out of this my dear Tala" I reach and caress her face.

I slap her once more "If you know what is good, don't ever insult me again by speaking well of that scum"

I grab her face squeezing it hard and reach for the knife once more

"Do you understand?..." I move the knife on her cheek "you have such a beautiful face..." I move the flat of the knife there caressing with the cold steel.
"I wouldn't like to have to cut it... but you still should keep in mind not to anger me"

Tala's chest heaved as she gasped for air. His hand twisted the skin of her face cruelly. He continued to drag the blade of the stiletto across her cheeks, the point hoovering treacherously close to her eye.

Tala dared not even blink, her breathing halted as the point of the blade passed back and forth beneath her eyes. She had never felt true fear before, not really. This then, was true fear. This was fear of death, or worse. Though she fought it, she knew her body trembled visibly in terror.

Tala watched his eyes devour the site of her trembling body and the sick smile that formed on his face watching. Dear God, the man was insane. His twisted logic had found such a foot-hold within his mind that he actually believed what he was doing was right and just. Tala was lost.

Seeing the fear in her eyes I calm down a bit, I return to caress her cheeks and forehead with the side of the blade.

"Will you behave my dear Tala? or do I have to be violent to make you understand... I promise you this, you will go to your wedding, you will make it through this night, the state in wich you end up is entirely up to your willingness to submit"

I move the blade down the cold steel touching her neck and apply the tip to her chest above her breasts drawing softly on it, the knife so sharp that every now and then it cuts her delicate skin.

Tala whimpered softly with each cut. His words barely registered through her terror.

"I promise you this, you will go to your wedding, you will make it through this night, the state in wich you end up is entirely up to your willingness to submit."

Her mind selectively heard only a portion of his words, "she would go to her wedding... she would go to her wedding..." If she stayed strong, maybe did what he wanted, he was going to let her go.

Her heart pound in her chest as new hope sprang forth within her.

Keeping the knife against her I pull her from her neck, bite/kissing her deeply and harshly my teeth digging into her lips bring out some blood.
I squeeze her neck as I hold her in my kiss my tongue enters her mouth seeking for hers and the tip of the knife is pressed against her chest a drop of blood coming out and slowly making it's way down

Cringing with each thrust of his tongue, Tala's mind began to withdraw. She watched the scene as though hoovering above or beside it. She was there but not there. Her spirit told her to fight, her mind told her to run but her body told her to submit.

She would not submit and she would not beg. She was bethrothed to the mightiest Knight in the Kingdom. He had fought many wars and battles to keep her safe and she would fight this.

Tears streamed down Tala's face with each bite of the crazed man's teeth. She dared not move forward, the point of the blade poised directly over her heart. His hand twisted painfully in her hair, wrenching her neck back further as he drove his tongue into her mouth.

Her hands still free, she waited ... a moment more until his teeth released her lips. The moment came, she sprang backward, pushing the knife from her chest with both hands. The blade slid along the palm of her right hand, welling blood from the damaged skin.

Twisting, she was free of his grasp. The bed had been shoved against a solid, block wall. The door on the other end, just behind him. Tala rolled off the bed, blood trailing along the white sheets from her hand. She sprang for the door, lunging for the knob with both hands.

"It's locked" I say calmly "we are both locked inside this room until it's time for your wedding"

"Will you make me get you, or you will come willingly?, I think you would certainly prefer the second option... the first one can be very exciting."

Her blood over the white sheets looked perfect, such a beautiful contrast, I carefully lick the blade tasting her blood, while staring at the frightened woman with a lupine smile.

Both hands pull on the door knob, her hand slipping as blood seeped from her palm. Tala balled both fists up, pounding on the door screaming for help. She kicked the door in frustration before turning to face him, covering her small breasts with her hands. The silken gown hung in shreds from her shoulders, offering no protection from his lewd glaring eyes.

Her tear filled eyes, swollen and red darted around the darkened room. Her eyes took in the strange equipment, things she had never seen nor heard of before. Out of the corner of her eye she saw him move.

Terror a stronger motive than logical thought, she ran.

I smile wide "you prefer the interesting path"

I run after her, the room really not that big. I grab her by the wrist and pull very hard... "I will have to chain you for your own sake, otherwise you might hurt yourself again, and that is for me to do" I slap her hard enough to make her fall down and pull her to a board that is standing against the wall.

I pull down one shackle and capture her right hand, another one for her left hand. The hard way she discovers that the shackles have sharp teeth inside that dig into her skin.

I leave her legs free, for now at least, and I grab her face once more very hard my fingers digging into her skin

"I may have taken your defies with humor so far, but you will learn your proper place soon if you plan to avoid harsher punishment"

Tala's head whips around as his knuckles strike her soft cheek. The room spins and dips as she tries to rise. She finds her hands being shackled to a large wooden board as she stands swaying on her feet, blinking to clear her vision.

The shackles lock into place and Tala screams. The pinch of of teeth within the metal biting into the soft skin of her wrists. Pulling only drives the sharp pointes further into her skin, forcing her to stillness to avoid the slicing pain.

Again Tala raises her head, looking into his cold blue eyes.

"Please, I have never done anything to harm you. I have never even spoken your name..." Tala gasps, swallowing her pain and fear. "I ... I don't even know your name. Can't you see, I am not... not the one that has hurt you. Please.. let me go? Please?"

Her eyes glisten imploringly to what is left of his humanity, willing him to let her go.

I look back into her scared eyes. "what you say it's true, you are only guilty of poor judgement"

I bring the knife once more "but soon you'll see that there is a purpose to all this, you will be thankful even... you'll be mine Tala"

I move up to her and bite her lips again allowing my right hand to explore her fragile body, moving it roughly around it

Small droplets of blood leaked from beneath the metal bindings on her wrists. His teeth sank into her swollen lips even as she tried to twist her head out of his bruising grasp. Tala was beyond fear, her body reacting to the threat instinctively.

Both legs came up to kick him fully in the stomach, doubling him over, Another small foot lifted on its own to catch him in the chin, nearly knocking him unconscious with surprise.

Tala screamed silently at the site before her, never had she struck another human being, nor an animal. She saw a bit of blood from on his chin where her heel had struck. The horrendously evil gleam in his eyes buckled her legs in terror.

I rub off my blood

"How dare you..." I dont even bother to complete the sentence, I simply drive the knife inside her. I have studied the human body for years, "avoid the bones... the bones are hard I want the soft spots" I thought as I stabbed her again. I knew exactly where to hurt her in order to not put her life at risk... of course she didn't know that, and once more I stab her and this time I keep the knife inside.

"will you learn your place?"

Tala threw her head back, screaming. She screamed and screamed until her voice was but a whisper and still she screamed. The pain was like nothing she had felt before. She was dying. She gulped great breaths of air into her lungs, trying to hang on to this life that had been so wonderful mere hours before.

Her head dropped down to her chest, whimpers slipping from between her lips then another scream as the sharp blade pierced her skin again, remaining there, pinning her to the wood behind her. She could not see, the haze of fear and pain was so great. She felt his great body pressing against her, she could hear his voice, smell his skin but she could not see. The tears and terror pushed harder on her mind, begging her to release her tenuous hold on sanity.

Such delightful screams...

I pull from her hair forcing her to look at me, but she is too afraid, her eyes are swelled up with tears.

I bring out a white sheet and place it underneath us, her red blood falls there.

And I look at her, she certainly is quite beautiful, I wonder for a second if I'm only doing this for revenge, before leaning forward and moving my tongue on her face licking up her tears of pain

Tala slips in and out of consciousness. Sometimes aware of his hands on her body, his tongue as it bathes her face of tears and blood.

Part of her mind reaches for the darkness, wanting to stay within its barrier against the pain and fear. His teeth on her lip brings her slowly to awareness again. She hears a voice, a female voice pleading with him. Begging him. Opening her eyes slowly, looking into death itself, she realizes the voice was hers.
