Reunion.

Ok, this may sound a bit weird, but I've honestly been thinking about this, since the Literotica Reunion stories came up.
It's been joked about, teased with or just mentioned in a number of different threads here.
Now, and be honest. How many of you guys out there would seriously consider attending a real life Literotica get together?? That goes for you too Laurel.

I must admit that the thought is kinda appealing to me. And I, for one, would definately be there. Even though I'm one of the guys far far away from the US. I would find the money for the trip. Trust me.

But I guess not all feel that way, and let's be honest. It's a tricky one.
Would you really meet the people you fool around with here??

I'd do it. We've considered at some point having some great big Literotica get-together in Vegas or somewhere as appropriate. Of course, this would be in the not near future, as our hands are pretty full right now with the site remodel and a couple other cool surprise projects. But to answer your question, Xander, yes - I'd be into doing it someday.

Hmmm....I'm up for it, but checking my schedule I'd say it would probably have to be sometime in the summer of 2001. I've already burned one week of vacation this year, and already have plans for the second in september (we're going west, btw). And we're already planning a vacation for next spring (my wife wants to go whale watching).

So unless it's nearby, I'm not free for awhile.

What an awsome idea. My family has a reunion every 3 years and it's so much fun seeing people you haven't seen in years. I think it would be a blast meeting the family i have made here. Tiggs- get your dancing shoes.

I can see it now, and Vegas would never be the same again! Not a bad thing, I think....

Since there are at least a couple of Literoticans local, we might be able to swing some kind of a deal. Do NOT think of summer. Not in Vegas. 120 degrees in the shade (if you could find shade).

Even the Texans would be shedding their clothes...come to think of it, summer might be JUST the right time.

Back in the very early eighty's, I had a Radio Shack 8K Color Computer and a 300 baud modem. I was a member of a few local and national bulletin boards. We all used "handles" or screen names just like here on Literotica, but we didn't have the ablility to post pics. (files were too big and modems too slow)

Anyway, a sysop that ran a local BB came up with a similar idea. We all met for a brunch at a local restaurant. What made it cool was we came and introduced ourselves using our real names, so everyone was trying to figure out what screen name went with the person they met there. We met once a month for a few months before having a "coming out" party to let everyone try to match the screen name with the real person in a "What's My Line" type of gameshow format. It was a blast.

Count me in on any reunion plans.

But Laurel, does it really need to be Las Vegas? San Diego is a much nicer place and has so many more attractions than Vegas, including the weather.

Maybe this'll help. My wife and I are already planning a vacation in Southern California for the last week of September. We'll be flying out on the morning of the 23rd. Now, she's already got this thing planned down to the minutest detail, but I can probably get her to make a change or two for something like this.

If you avoid Late June through Early September, the temp is only in the 90's (F) and the heat index is down in the mid to high 80's (F). This time of the year, it's beautiful in the desert with daytime temps in the 70's and nighttime temps in the mid-50's.

Besides, the Casinos are all 72 degrees year round. Most of the enetertainment is indoors, even the amusement parks.

Well..... Okay. Although there is some part of me that feels like sammyjo: I'm not sure what this would do, as far as our feelings for each other right now go, to actually meet. We would go from nameless, faceless entities to actual people; how would everyone else feel about this? But I suppose, once the "reunion" was over, we would go back to being nameless, faceless words on a computer screen, right?

I don't really have anything against Vegas, per se, as I lived there for a couple of years.

Nevertheless, imagine a sunset cruise on Mission Bay, all of us together, drinking, eating, hopefully interacting...Can't find that experience in Vegas.

Or, how about Balboa Park? Checking out the zoo, the Globe Theater in the evening, maybe a group picnic during the day, perfect weather...won't find that in Vegas either.

Or, a trip to the Silver Strand...Can't remember the name of the hotel there but it's part of the rum runner's history of the thirties and very romantic. The beaches there are excellent and maybe drinks and dinner at this historic monument...hhmmm?

For the very adventurous, perhaps a trip to Tijuana one night? Again, much different than Vegas.

A day trip to La Jolla, excellent skin diving, with caves to explore and lots of other neat things to do.

I may be getting carried away, but Vegas really can't compete, unless you like lots and lots of strange tourists checking you out and the constant scrutiny of casino security personnel.

I gotta admit Lake Mead is nice though, still...
