Returning to sex

Well, I recently had a child and, having not had sex for almost three months, I admit I am a little reluctant to get back into the swing of things. I had a c-section and so I am now worried about whether or not this has done anything to my sex drive as I have yet to have any sexual feelings towards my husband at all. I am also afraid of having an orgasm as the ones during my pregnancy were very intense and now I worry about whether or not it will be painful. Anyone dealt with this or have any ideas on how to deal with these fears? I am grateful for any ideas. Thanks

I too had a csection

I waited approximatly 3 months before i had sex again.. I was a lil drier i noticed so i used a tube of KY jelly and be careful dont go right into positions with deeper penetration it puts more pressure on your scars trust me i learned that one the hard way it hurts like a SOB

Ok, on the returning to sex, think of it this way (yes it helps) Your basically a virgin again. Go slowly, you'll get back into the swing of things, but until then, use KY and be careful and slow. Your tighter now than before, simply because your body is re-adjusting to just having a child. Whether by C-section or vaginal, you will be tight, and you will be sore. Go slowly. (advice from my mother who had two c-sections: try the woman on top, less pressure on the suture site.)

Thanks for the ideas so far. I've heard the woman on top position is a good one to start back with. Of course, once I get back into the swing again, my husband will be heading off to Kuwait for 4 months! (December to April) Anyhow, thanks and anyone else is welcome to give more ideas!
:)

Kathreen, another good position is side to side. Kind of like spooning, but you can have intercourse this way. I had to this for most of the last months of my final pregnancy as i was just to big to do anything else, and side to side, takes soooo much pressure off that area.

I didn't have a c-section, but being your body isn't used to sex because of you being pregnant. Use lubricant for the first time and until you start to feel more relaxed it may take some time.
