It's a funny old world. Someone in the backwater of Tennessee quotes Trump's words following a school shooting, asking why they are not relevant to Charlie Kirk.

The local sheriff lied (of course) and sent the goons around to arrest him. The words? 'We have to get over it.'
For some reason the judge set bail at $2 million, just in case the ex-cop posts another meme that upsets the Circle-Kirk.

How much money will the guy get from the sheriff's office when he sues the shit out of them? Or do only rioters and insurrectionists get compensation for time spent inside.

Set bail at 2 million???? What? are we becoming London? What's the crime? Why a warrant in the first place?

Read the story
I did! Twice! The story is so convoluted it's unreadable. It strikes me as a free speech issue. Judges let murderers out on bail and this Judge deems a 2 million dollar bail over a meme? I don't care about party affiliation, I'm looking at a constitutional rights issue. Maybe I missed something. Arresting people over memes is something they do in England.

Hey, ican? Snails said, SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU BLACK CUNT!

Fake news
It is not ‘fake news.’ I just read multiple reports (checked the voracity) regarding this case (ultimately dismissed). Perhaps you don’t agree with what precipitated the actual events, how they were handled/reported, and the outcome, but don’t label it ‘fake news.’ It’s true, it happened, and it was resolved.

‘Fake news’ is not something you don’t agree with or like.

(County Sheriff) Weems later said he would not have been arrested in the first place if he agreed to delete the meme.

So he wasn't arrested for any threats, any shootings, even for posting a quote.

He was arrested for not removing the quote that could have been interpreted as a criticism of ammosexuals. Welcome to Red State USA.

The Republican version of Cancel Culture is escalating 24/7.

Imagine if he'd quoted Kirk's own words!

"We must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty... We need to be very clear that you're not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. But I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year, so that we can have the Second Amendment."

Just wait until you hear that you voted a convicted felon for president.
