Ted Cruz sounds the alarm about a GOP ‘bloodbath’ on election day

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is warning that Republicans could face a “bloodbath” in the coming elections if American voters remain unhappy with the state of the economy and the novel coronavirus pandemic.

During an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cruz said that Republicans could win the election “if people are going back to work, if they’re optimistic, if they’re positive about the future.”

However, the senator warned that the opposite scenario could also come to pass.
“But I also think if on Election Day, people are angry and they’ve given up hope and they’re depressed, which is what Pelosi, and Schumer want them to be, I think it could be a terrible election,” he warned. “I think we could lose the White House and both houses of Congress, that it could be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions.”

This could be why Trump, and the GOP in general, is sucking hind tit! People are pissed that the "Great Leader" has led them off the cliff! and the GOP'ers have waved them over the edge.

Ted Cruz says it can go one way or the other....

‘Rethuglicunts terrified’ Trump’s latest stunt has crippled their election chances: White House reporter

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday morning, Associated Press White House correspondent Jonathan Lemire said senior Republican leaders are terrified Donald Trump’s latest outburst about participating in two more debates may put the election out of reach of the president and doom their chances of keeping their majority in the Senate.

Speaking with hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezinski, Lemire said that Trump’s refusal to do the debates unless they are in-person handed Democrats a major victory.

“He’s frustrated with the state of the race,” Lemire explained. “He knows he’s trailing and he has been deprived of running the campaign he wants because the pandemic has overshadowed everything else”

“We certainly know as the last point, Republicans terrified that the bottom might be dropping out,” he added. “A depression in enthusiasm among the Trump base which might not only sink him in the White House but absolutely bring the Senate down with him.”

The odds look good that the House, Senate, and White House will turn BLUE in January.

‘The fever may be breaking’ — and Trump’s hold on the GOP may be falling apart: CNN’s Avlon

CNN’s John Avlon on Friday said that there were increasing signs that President Donald Trump’s tight grip on the Republican Party may be slipping from his grasp.

During his latest “Reality Check” segment, Avlon took stock of Republicans who have started distancing themselves from the president ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

“The fever may be starting to break,” he observed. “Badly trailing in the polls and wounded by self-sabotage, there are signs that some Republicans are starting to back away from Donald Trump.”

Republicans vs Rethuglicunts, the GOP is splintering worse than Demonrats!

:D:D:D

GOP facing a ‘nightmare’ as Bill Barr resists Trump’s pressure to release DOJ review of Russia probe: report

The Justice Department report digging the origins of the Russia investigation won’t be released before the election.

A senior White House official and a congressional aide told Axios that Attorney General Bill Barr has been telling top Republicans the long-awaited report wouldn’t be out in time to influence the election, as President Donald Trump has been hoping.

“This is the nightmare scenario,” the GOP congressional aide said. “Essentially, the year and a half of arguably the No. 1 issue for the Republican base is virtually meaningless if this doesn’t happen before the election.”

Has Durham uncovered Trump's Russian Connections??? Is that why Barr is hesitating???

:)

Rats jump ship, Trump wins, rats swim back ready to eat shit. Like they did 4 years ago.

More than just a little late to suddenly take their noses out of the pig's (Trump's) trough and become Americans. Poor Republicans.

well it's certainly not hoping home-grown terrorists are 'smarter' when it comes to social media, allowing them to fulfill their violent goals. that'd be you and those backing the terrorists, not the majority of american people

Their violent goals of overthrowing a power hungry governor who's continuing to violate their civil rights in defiance of the courts??

Read a history book sometime, in the USA that's called a patriot, not a terrorist.

If the "progressives" (Maoist) do NOT abide by the law/courts and continue to flagrantly violate peoples rights in defiance of the legislative and judicial branches of government??? They will be starting a war, either with the feds or with the people who they are illegibly violating.

that'd be you and those backing the terrorists, not the majority of american people

The law, civil rights and court orders are not a popularity contest in the USA butters.

This isn't a unitary state run by mob rule.

Looks like you know about as much about the USA ol' Comrade Keith D. :D

i suggest you take it up with the fbi and doj. they don't appear to agree with your interpretations.

No better than the local cops who show up and arrest victims of leftist rage mobs because it's easier to arrest the victims than the rage mob.

When cops take sides AGAINST the law, AGAINST the Constitution they swore to protect, they are the fucking enemy of liberty and thus the USA...."I was just following orders." doesn't justify it either.

The longer the lawlessness and "Laws for thee but not for mee!!" out of these Democrats is allowed to continue? The more severe the consequences are going to be.

I really hope that for everyone's sake that these (D)emocrat mayors and governors who think Corona made the Bill of Rights magically disappear start listening to the courts when they are told otherwise.

McConnell pours cold water on Trump’s plea for an election-saving stimulus deal

President Donald Trump, just days after calling off negotiations with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on a deal to provide relief to Americans who are struggling amid an economic recession and the coronavirus pandemic, has now reportedly changed his tune.

Politico’s Jake Sherman reported on Friday that the White House “is now completely set on striking a Covid stimulus deal with Speaker Pelosi” and that “they expect working all next week on getting a deal.”

Just hours later, however, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) poured cold water on any potential deal by saying he doubted the Senate could pass a relief package and confirm Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett in time for the November 3rd election.

Per Axios, McConnell said that any stimulus package is “unlikely in the next three weeks,” and he instead wanted to concentrate on getting Barrett on the Supreme Court.

Mitch would rather pack the courts of forty years than help Trump for four.
