Ted Cruz first GOP candidate to condemn Friday’s Planned Parenthood shooting

Texas senator Ted Cruz has become the first Republican presidential candidate to directly address the fatal shooting of three people at Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado, calling the attack “horrific”.

Speaking in Lamoni, Iowa, Cruz said that while the motives behind Friday’s attack were not clear “it was unacceptable, horrific and wrong”.

Mike Huckabee: Anti-abortion shooter is ‘abominable’ like Planned Parenthood killing ‘millions of babies’

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee declared on Sunday that the Colorado gunman who killed three people and injured nine was a domestic terrorist, and that what he did was wrong — just like Planned Parenthood’s abortion services.

“There is no excuse for killing other people whether it’s happening inside the Planned Parenthood headquarters, inside their clinics where many millions of babies die or whether it’s people attacking Planned Parenthood,” he opined. “We ought to value life. Every life truly does have worth and value.”

Carly Fiorina: Linking Planned Parenthood attack to ‘pro-life’ activists is ‘typical left-wing tactics’

Aspiring GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina doubled down on her assertion that Planned Parenthood was harvesting fetal parts for profit, while at the same time stating that linking the shooting at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood to anti-choice activists was “typical left-wing tactics.”

Appearing on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, the deposed HP CEO stated that, since Planned Parenthood was no longer going to transfer fetal part to medical researchers, it was a tacit admission of guilt.

Fiorina has been under fire for claiming she saw “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain,” in the highly edited videos created by anti-abortion group Center for Medical Progress. Fact checkers have repeatedly said no such video exists. This, however, has not deterred Fiorina from repeating it.

Carly and Huck are still fucking the same chicken.

Machts nichts. Not one of you homos will change sides cuz any Republican sheds a crocodile tear about Planned Parenthood. Truth be told you orgasmed a cop died.

If these nitwits changed their tune, their insane followers would drop them in a hot second.

True. Few get it. Trumps people aint going no where. And they cant care less if the media or the GOP or you love them or Trump. Trump figured out how Hitler won, and uses the same strategy. The Germans couldn't beat Hitler with no body. Ditto the GOP and Trump.

You're such a cynic JB. There is a year before the elections, plenty of time for Trump to step on his own dick. Cheer up if the trends hold you can vote for Cruz in2016.

IS it time to dive back down the Hitler hole and dig up facts cus I haven't been there in a while.

Sure. But his competitors aint close. Watching the media and GOP talk today, they swear America wants Romney now more than ever. When Trump kicks ass in February tell me all about it.

Planned Parenthood shooting demonstrates the severity of domestic rightwing terror

When news of the six-hour standoff broke, media outlets and authorities were careful to not speculate on a motive until an investigation revealed why Dear would feel the need to murder innocent people. However, soon after the shooting, Dear made remarks about his anti-abortion leanings, and authorities still refuse to accept that his motive was clearly to terrorize Planned Parenthood due to his objection to reproductive rights.

CNN’s coverage perfectly demonstrates how authorities are extremely careful against speculating when it comes to a white murder suspect:

“…the suspect accused of carrying out the shooting spree made remarks about “baby parts” to investigators after his surrender, a law enforcement official told CNN. Dear, 57, told them he has anti-abortion and anti-government views, but that doesn’t mean those opinions were his motive for allegedly shooting up the Colorado Springs clinic on Friday, the official said. It’s too early to tell, as investigators are still processing evidence.”

As the National Abortion Federation notes, since 1977 there have been 8 murders, 17 attempted murders, 42 bombings and 186 arsons and thousands of other incidents, including vandalism. The real numbers are likely to be higher, and the NAF has made sure to only include incidents that were reported to law enforcement agencies. They rightly haven’t included cases that were ruled inconclusive.

After the Colorado Springs shooting, President Obama made the same predictable lukewarm statements that the media reported as bold.

“This is not normal. We can’t let it become normal,” Obama said, not realizing that these shooting are the new normal. “If we truly care about this — if we’re going to offer up our thoughts and prayers again, for God knows how many times, with a truly clean conscience — then we have to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them. Period. Enough is enough.”

According to Democracy Now, despite the intense focus by the Obama administration on Muslim communities, non-Muslims have carried out more than 19 terrorist attacks since September 11, 2001, while Muslims have been responsible for seven. The number reported by Democracy Now are from last June, and don’t even include the more recent cases of domestic terror.

Back in 2011, the DHS dismantled its unit that focused on rightwing terrorism because conservatives vilified the department for pointing a finger to real threats in the U.S. When you put all the puzzle pieces together, it’s not a surprise that horrific shootings like the one in Colorado Springs happen so often. The U.S. doesn’t really take these cases seriously. After all, we need to focus all our attention on despising movements like Black Lives Matter and demonizing Muslims. Apparently there’s no time to protect lives from genuine threats in the country.

Maybe Obama ought to call out the RWNJ's who incite these domestic terrorists?
Maybe the Justice Department needs to indite those who incite these nut jobs?
Like Carly and Huckster?

Why do you give this murderer a reason, even a slight pass as to why he did what he did? People died in this attack but no mention of the victims from you. I guess they were just the supporting cast. This murderer is the real star. You will spend all your time, as long as it's the hot topic, talking about how others were to blame for his actions. It must feel really good to use him as a way to make your point. Those people that died are hardly of any consequence, they won't help you make your point so they don't matter.

Life is important but do all lives matter? No, some lives should be ended. The murderer is staring you in the face. He doesn't deserve to live after what he did.

It's still always sad to see people so intent on proving their point that they will hold up each lifeless body, their eyes shining with glee and toss it aside while gloating "I told you so"

Most felons do the deed, without doubt. Yet we play with them for a generation, to make work for lawyers.

I rarely took anyone to trial I had doubts about, and lost one trial over many years. In that case the trial judge fucked up because she was a hippie chick who loved niggers. Then the stupid bitch tried to force a conviction order on the defendant. We told her, STUPID BITCH! YOU JUST DISMISSED THE CASE! She ordered me to file new charges. I replied, FOR WHAT! The head judge moved her ass to traffic court.

If the defendant did the deed hang his ass. If you aint sure cut him loose or offer a sweet deal.

But is it sad to see Robert Dear intent on proving Carly Fiorina's point by making a few bodies lifeless? I think so, and I think she needs to share some of the responsibility for her message.

The dead don't matter and this DID happen for a reason. Knowing the reason is important.

As for if he deserves to live or not that's kind of beside the point entirely.

You mean like the way so many commenters from the right echoed the "he was no angel" line after the murder of Michael Brown by a policeman in Ferguson, MO?

You mean like the way so many commenters from the right echoed the "He was no angel" line after the murder of Eric Garner by a policeman in New York City?

You mean like the way so many commenters from the right echoed the "he had it coming for pointing a toy gun at a cop" line after Tamir Rice was murdered by a policeman in Cleveland?

I could go on and on and on, but I hope you see the point already.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. I did not give the murdering crazy bastard a reason to do what he did. There is no reasonable explanation for what he did. I didn't mention the victims by name because I didn't have their names.

My point in the post was that our RWNJ politico fringe incite opposition to women's health issues, and individual liberty BTW, to stir up the 'base', to create controversy so that they may get publicity. However they avoid responsibility for their actions when some crazy bastard goes postal because of their incitement.

In my opinion, the shooter ought to be shot by his own gun this week. That would 1. save a bunch of money, and 2. insure he never did this. or something worse again. However that probably won't happen.

Anti-abortion head of Homeland Security committee: Colorado shooting was not ‘domestic terrorism’

Dumb ass!

Planned Parenthood official rips Fiorina: She and the Colorado shooter spout the same lies

In an appearance on Monday, Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens told Poppy Harlow of CNN that Republicans are to blame for the “incendiary rhetoric” that inspired the attack, including former HP CEO and Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina.

Laguens began by extending her condolences to the families of the victims and by thanking the first responders at the scene on Friday when Robert Louis Dear went on his 5-hour shooting spree at the clinic.

“The heated rhetoric that we’ve seen of late greatly concerns us,” Laguens said. Planned Parenthood believes — based on police reports that Dear was ranting about “baby parts” when he was taken into custody — that the attack on its Colorado Springs location was directly related to a series of videos from anti-abortion extremists the Center for Medical Progress.

“It is offensive and outrageous that some politicians are now claiming this tragedy has nothing to do with the toxic environment they helped create,” she said in a statement.

On CNN, she slammed Fiorina for her refusal to acknowledge the obvious connection between right-wing anti-choice rhetoric and the escalation to violence. On Sunday, Fiorina said that to link the two is to fall victim to “typical left-wing tactics.”

“I thought it was pretty amazing that she tried to — in the midst of this moment — bring in things that she’s been thoroughly discredited around in terms of charges against Planned Parenthood,” said Laguens.

“And of course, the gunman is now quoted as having said almost exactly something similar to what Carly Fiorina just said,” she said.

Iraq vet used dying moments to warn others after getting shot by Planned Parenthood terrorist

Ke’Arre Stewart, the Iraq War veteran gunned down by right-wing terrorist Robert Louis Dear on Friday, used his dying moments to tell people inside the building to take cover.

According to NBC News, Stewart, 29, had stepped outside the building to use his cell phone when he was shot by Dear, who killed two other people and injured nine in the attack. Stewart, a devoted husband and father of two, rushed into the building in spite of his injuries and shouted for everyone to take cover.

His brother Leyonte Chandler told Today on Monday morning that Stewart’s military training must have compelled him to help others in the line of fire.

“No more baby parts!” ranted Dear to police.

Anti-abortion conservatives like presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz have tried to defray blame for the shooting, making false claims that Dear was a “transgendered leftist activist.”

However, many are calling on the media and public officials to call Dear what he really is, a right-wing, Christian terrorist.

Republican Kevin McCarthy: Government shutdown over Planned Parenthood unlikely

McCarthy, responding to questions about whether Friday’s deadly shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado would affect Republican opposition to funding the group, told reporters he expected a “healthy debate” before the bill is passed to fund the government through next September.

Perhaps as part of that healthy debate they should mention that RWNJ's should question whether spouting lies and distortions is wise given that their 'base' is incapable of rational thought?

Former wife says Planned Parenthood terrorist is conservative, religious and anti-abortion

People who knew the suspected gunman in the Colorado Springs shooting described him as a loner who was “weird” but had given few signs of violent behavior, US media reported Sunday.

When questioned after his arrest Dear mentioned “no more baby parts” in reference to the abortions Planned Parenthood provides, NBC News reported, citing law enforcement officials.

In 1997, Dear’s then wife, Pamela Ross, once called the police to accuse him of domestic violence, The New York Times reported. Ross said that Dear could have flashes of anger, but usually he would later apologize.

Dear was politically conservative, religious, owned guns and believed that abortion was wrong — but he was not obsessed with any of these issues, Ross said.

“It never, ever, ever, ever crossed my mind” that he would be capable of a mass shooting, Ross told The Times. “My heart just fell to my stomach.”

What is "transgendered" supposed to reveal about his motives?

I think that's obvious, Cruz wants more press so he spouts lies from bloggers and when people call him out, he can say, "It was on the Internet, I just repeated it."

"Pander to the crazy," and get your name out in front of the people.
