Resubmissions...

When resubmitting a story, do the stats and such get reset or do they remain?

I have a slight edit (title only) to one of my stories; however, if the number of reads/comments/ratings get reset, I can leave it as is...

I have wondered this as well, I've been reading literotica.com since 2007 but recently started writing. It's probably on the site somewhere just don't have time to search everywhere.

Anyway, I'm not too sure about the significance of the change considering that your story has already been published and, probably, withstood the first flood of readers whereon quiet aridity is to expect.

Proper Editing Submission: Simply add "- EDIT" to your title. If you like, you can write "EDIT" into the notes field, too.

Thanks AJ...I could not find the answer anywhere in the FAQ, and did search it well before posting.

True about the change, the main thing is for my own personal anal attentiveness since I have a Chapter 6a and going to Chapter 7, wanted to just make it Chapter 6, LOL. As I said, was more for my own self-consciousness than anything else, hehe. :0

Finally found the section on resubmissions...although it was not necessarily obvious:

I've re-edited my story and want to replace the posted version with my new edited one. How do I do this?

No problem! Simply submit the new version as you submitted the old one, only adding the word "EDITED" to the title (ex. "My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED") so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text. Your story will retain its previous voting score and views.
