And there's always that moment where I can't remember where the fuck to start. Thankfully the brain kicks in after a few attempts and I don't ruin that first string. Did I tell you about my condition? :)

Ah, the sound of a newly strung Strat.

You bastard!

I have been to every music store for 20 miles trying to buy the strings I use. I have a gig Sat and would like to have new strings on my axes. The strings I cant fund anywhere? Dean Markley regular gauge and Fender Super Bullet lites.
You would think they were custom order strings!

I stick with the Super Bullet lites - same as were originally on the guitar.

You might check musiciansfriend.com - though not sure they could get them to you by Saturday...unless they have next day air.

Wax,

I know nothing about guitar strings... but I just wanted to say that I like your little dog in the av... he is so cute. :)

Danka. :)

It's Gromit (of Wallace & Gromit). Highly recommended viewing.

The 335 in the AV needs heavier strings. The strat I agree lite SBs are the way to go. I live in a Chicago suburb you would think that they would have my strings in a 25 mile radius. You would be wrong.

Thanks I appreciate it

I will be in Madison tomorrow and can get them there for like $6 a pack

There is nothing like that around here

That I know of, I have only been here 3 weeks.
I can get them in Madison. There are good guitar shops there.
Thanks Soblue. I wish the hell I wasnt such a midwest newbie

Well there are Guitar centers all over, and Sam Ash has several stores in the area too. I hope you learn your way around soon, it's not hard, it's all laid out on a big grid here. Just orientate yourself to the Lake which is east :D

If you need any help, just ask :)

Whatcha going to Madison for? Are you playing there?

Rehease in Madison and Gig in Shyboygin

The band I play with is based in Madison.
I havent payed with them in a whiel so we need to reahearse.
I also have a 30 minute solo set I discovered when I saw the gig announcement. I woner if anyone was gonna tell me about it?
Its the Earthfest gig. Its out doors. In a park somehwere in Shyboygin

Well cool, have fun.

And remember, when in Wisconsin, you must buy cheese, beer and bratwursts. It's required ;)

You are welcome ...

I am not familiar with Wallace & Gromit...

I just find your little dog so very adorable. :)

And you wonder why drummers refer to you all as "premadonna guitar players." :)

What did the bassist do when he locked the keys in the car?
Spent 30 minutes trying to get the drummer out.:p

What does Ginger Baker and 7-11 coffee have in common?

Both suck without Cream.

Re: Drummers are a musicians best friend.

I was once a drummer. Now I'm a hummer.

I wish I had a strat or a telecaster. But I need a new amp more than a new guitar.

Wallace & Gromit are some claymation characters - done by the same guy who did Chicken Run and does the sheep in the mattress commercials. Really cool short films.

I've got the DVD - you bring the cookies. :)
