Rest in peace Goober

George Lindsey who played Goober Pyle on the Andy Griffith show has died at the age of 83 Sunday morning, after a brief illness. Rest in peace Goober.

Oh...this hurts my heart. Last weekend I made my first pilgrimage to Mt. Airy, NC...birthplace of Andy Griffith...to get a taste of Mayberry. The Andy Griffith Show is my family's favorite, and we can quote almost every episode line-for-line. Goober Pyle will forever be on of my favorite TV characters, and no one could have played him like George Lindsey.
