We all make them, and of course we all break them, but even so I thought this might be a fun place to share some of the things you've resolved to do in 2008!
For me:
1. Get my ass in gear and finally finish my masters degree. (Not gonna happen in 2008 but I can at least get the ball rolling in the right direction)
2. The ever popular- EXERCISE MORE! I have a damn gym membership (with on site childcare) I hardly ever use and my excuses are getting downright silly. I'm going to try and get in at least 2 workouts a week...I did say try!
3. Travel more. Last year I was such a homebody. Part of it was financial, but part of it was just pure laziness on my part! I want to go somewhere I've never been this year. I want to take more trips with just my husband too...which leads me to #4
4.Take more time for my husband and me. He's a nurse, I'm a teacher, we have 3 kids ranging from 4-14 so needless to say we've become experts at division and that has included dividing the time we spend together as ADULTS! We love our girls and we like our jobs, but they've really cut into the time we spend relating to each other as a man and woman. DATE NIGHT! It's making a once a month appearance in my house again this year and I'm going to try and stick to it even if our "dates" end up being a rented movie and some popcorn while we snuggle in bed.
5. This is cheese-tastic but...I want to start having an "attitude of gratitude". It's so easy to focus on what we don't have or wish we had and loose focus of the good things in front of us. So, cheesy or not, I'm listing at least one thing every day that I'm grateful for or happy about!
So what about you guys? What are your resolutions for the New Year?
