Resolutions for 2005

More ME Time In 2005

I resolve to have more time for myself in 2005 to do what I want to do at that moment. I resolve to get a tan if it kills me, and the tattoo I want done finally. I resolve to get more sex. If the boyfriend wont make the effort there, then I reolve to spend as much as possible on a vibrator so good I won't care. I resolve to write atleast 50 stories on Lit, and make them all better than the last
nymphy

I resolve to be a better writer and to quit whoring around and be content with what I have. Hmm, I think that's been the same one for a few years now.

Back in the day, one very memorable NYE my resolution was simple: To only sleep with guys I was in love with and to chew my food better. Don't ask!!!!

:rolleyes:

To finish my three unfinished novels, and try much harder to be a nicer person and not lose my temper so easily.

Alex

The one I've had for about four years now is to stop swearing so much. I think this year I'm just gonna say, "Fuck it!"

Onto the next. I'm going to be a little more selfish from now on. I've spent my entire life trying to please too many other people and not doing enough to make myself happy. Those days are over.

~I'm resolved to make excellent grades in school and hammer out my degree as quickly as possible.

~Stay true to my heart. No more settling.

~This year will see the complete potty training of the lil' Luckster! WHOOP!

~Nurturing the good things in my life and reminding myself to never take them for granted.

~lucky

(p.s. I'd like to try and cut back on my swearing. :rolleyes: )

I resolve to try and make my new work situation . . . well, work, and to get off my fat ass and try and establish some sort of meaningful romantic relationship without feeling that I've "settled" somehow.

And I'd like to see Lucky work on her swearing. :D

resolutions are more like wishes..

1. stop having drama
2. find something worthy of my affections
3. buy sex toys
4. find a girl to tie up
5. find great sex
6. find new job
7. move to somewherd i'll love
8. not have to worry about money

robyn, looks like 2 thru 5 can be dealt with almost in one go.

As for money, you could sell photos...

My resolution: To finish my website...

Gawd, I haven't made a new year resolution in years. But Alex has inspired me. I resolve:

1. To really really finish my first novel.

2. To finish my second novel and get in place to really really finish it.

3. To do more with my photographs.

That's enough.

Perdita

I resolve

to be less guillible;

to be happy with myself;

to be more confident in myself;

to look in the mirror and say "I am worth it" at least 2 times a day; (and believe it)

to be happy with what I have;

to stop looking for things to make me happy;

to give up chasing the one thing I want and know I can't have; (and be alright with it)

----

I wish all of you, my friends here on Lit, a wonderful, happy, safe 2005!!

:kiss:

I would never have guessed this of you. You were so charming and helpful when I was pestering with questions about sailing in the 1800's. You've managed to pull of "patient and friendly" awfully well for someone who claims to lose his temper easily.

I'm only making one resolution:

To not make any new year resolutions!!!!

Call me a stuffy old Twat!!

:rolleyes:

Well, I wouldn't dream of calling you old, or stuffy, but you are a Twat! :rose:

I'm with you, though, I never make new year's resolutions. Partly because I don't have any vices in the first place. :cathappy:

Mine:

1) Submit the damned article.
2) Submit the damned poem.
3) Submit the damned novel.
4) Submit the damned screenplay.

5) (And possibly related): Stop being such a craven, shrinking pansy about the damned writing.

Just remember: Beckett's "Murphy" was rejected 31 times before publication. Deep breaths. Deep breaths.

It tends to be with fools - who probably can't help it - and yobs - who can!

Questions on topics of interest don't count!

If I'm not mistaken, I think I caught the implication that you are a lecturer of some description. I'd have to argue that that's a profession where it stands one in good stead to have a reputation for not suffering fools or yobs lightly. It cuts back the workload immensely, and at very little real loss to society.

My resolution this year was to be open to possibililty. That's worked so happily that I can only conclude that in 2005 my resolution will be to open myself to even more possibility.

My other resolution is to write as honestly as I can, frankly, without coyness, with no fear. Well, I'm going to try.

And finally I'm going to work on letting the people I love, know that I love them, more often.

Perdita, your AV and siggie are a colourful joy. Beautiful!
