In the near future, an program is made that can figure out who your perfect romantic/sexual partner is. Despite doubts, pairings made using the program lead to long happy, fulfilling, lives...but the practicality of those partnerships isn't considered by the program.
For example: young woman signs up for it and program finds her perfect match. She contacts them and goes for a meet up...why is her uncle there?

2. Shut in wins a free trial and finds his partner. He messages her and they have a lot in common. E is desperate to meet her but there's a problem: she is in a country that is in the middle of a civil war and she couldn't get out. Humanitarian aide has been cut off the only way to get in is to sneak in and then he'll have to sneak out with her and his agoraphobia makes it difficult to even go to the store.
