Rescue Mission (closed-pm if interested)

Matt Power was the top network reporter in America. He was on every big story that needed to be covered. If there was something going on, Power was covering it for the network. While on his last story, however, he had decided that he wanted more. He wanted to be able to do some type of investigative report. He needed a change, if only for a while.

The network had agreed. They told him to figure out what he wanted to do. Power decided that he wanted to do an investigative report on the drug trade through the Brazilian rainforest. Many of the network supervisors were shocked and expressed concern about his, and his crew's safety. Power insisted, and he said that he would take a lone camera person. He would ask for volunteers.

Power and the camera man found a guide in Brazil, and began exploring the rainforest. They came in contact with several people who gave them information and pointed them further into the rainforest. The deeper they went, the more concerned the guide became. Then, they were surrounded and taken prisoner. One of the captors, smacked Power in the head with the butt of a rifle.

When he woke up, he was in a cinder block cell with a steel door. It took him a while to wake up, but when he looked around, he saw his cameraman sitting in the corner....his face bloodied. Power moved over to him and asked if he was okay. The cameraman said he had been questioned and beaten and called an American spy.

Matt talked with his cameraman. The first thing Power did was apologize for getting him involved in this. Although the cameraman told him not to worry about because he volunteered, Power felt bad for the beating he took. Yes, it was the dangers of journalism sometimes, but Power was the one who asked for this.

The door open d and a huge man walked in and grabbed Power by the collar and lifted him to his feet. Power started to say something, but before he could get it out, the man hit Power in the face with a backhand. He could taste his own blood on his lips, and Matt had a feeling he was going to be giving more blood very soon.

Power was taken across the hall to a cell not dissimilar to the one he had just been pulled from. He was thrown into a chair and then immediately punched in the midsection. He buckled in pain, but said nothing. The man who brought him from the cell said something to another man.

He assumed they were speaking Portuguese. He had no idea what was being said, but he knew it was about him. Before he knew what was going on, he was punched several times in the jaw, and then several more in the abdomen. Still, he said nothing. He didn't want to do anything to aggravate them.

Power absorbed the beating that he was taking. He was pretty certain that he was not getting out of this place alive. These weren't people that negotiated for the release of prisoners. These people did what they needed to do and then got rid of the body. Power figured that his body would be found in a remote location which was nowhere near where they were now.

When bodies began to fall around him, he was confused. His mind could not comprehend what was going on. There was blood splatter everywhere, including his clothes and his face. What was happening here? He didn't mind it because his abusers were down, but he wasn't sure what was going on.

He saw several people enter the room. A female came to him and looked at him and then put something on his thumb before turning to another person and telling him to help Power up. Power got to his feet and then began to follow the female. He was still in too much shock to say anything or ask any questions, but that was probably a good thing. He saw the cameraman being extracted from the other cell and felt a sense of relief. He continued following the female; wondering what was next.

Still dazed from the beating he had taken, Power followed the people who had rescued him from the abuse. He had to admit that he was surprised that it was a woman giving all of the instructions. He didn't think that women held such high positions in Special Forces units. This did have to be a Special Forces unit, didn't it?

The fact that he was shocked by a female leading the team getting him and his cameraman out, and his displeasure with putting the two of them in danger told Power that he needed to get out of the office more. He needed to stop focusing on reporting events that happened and get out and do more real journalistic work. That was, if they survived this.

He began to focus again on his surroundings. The explosions jolted him out of that and made certain that he focused solely on the woman leading his rescue. She was good, and Power was impressed with her cool despite everything going on around her.

Power sat in the chopper and now that things were somewhat calmer, he could feel how swollen his face was and the fact that he could feel his eye closing from the beating. He endured less than the cameraman had, but that was only because of the rescue team.

His one good eye looked to the team leader that had been responsible for his rescue. He saw her take off her helmet and put down her weapon. Even with the camo paint on her face he could tell that she was beautiful. Power found something extremely erotic in the beautiful woman with so much power and control leading a group of the best trained fighters in the world.

He let his mind wander and before he knew it he had dosed off. He awoke with a start. His dream had been of being rescued by the woman, but the scene turned extremely sexual with her forcing him at gun point to please her for rescuing him. He sat back. Stop. She could care less about you.

Shortly after his return to the United States, Power was called into a meeting in which he was told that he was not to discuss any aspect of his rescue with anybody. The group that rescued him did not exist and if he talked to anyone about it there would be serious repercussions.

Power couldn't identify anyone, even if he wanted to. He didn't get a good look at anyone but the female team leader and all he saw of her was her face covered in camouflage paint. She seemed very attractive, with strong features, but he could never identify her.

Powers could not return to work until his wounds healed. He was getting close to that point and was summoned to the corporate headquarters in Washington D.C. After the meeting, where he was told he better not violate the orders he had been given about not discussing his rescue, he decided to walk around town. After a while he stopped in a local coffee shop and thought he would do some people watching while having a cup of coffee.

He sat there watching all of the bustling as people hurried past on their way to meetings or wherever they were heading. He noticed how the people paid no attention to the others around them. They were focused on the single task of getting to their destination.

Since his brush with the guerillas in South America, Power had been much more aware of people and their actions and the way they treated one another. He was amazed at the lack of interaction between them. He looked around the coffee shop. There was nothing going on here either. The only thing he found interesting was the fact that there was an extremely attractive woman sitting in the back. Other than that there was nothing.

After spending some time in the coffee shop, Power decided to walk around town. After walking for a bit, he decided to head to the Smithsonian. He figured that he would be able to kill a few hours there. He had booked the hotel for a couple days, figuring that the meeting he was called to was going to be a long one. It turned out the meeting was very brief. He wondered why they couldn't have done it over the phone.

He walked through the museums. He wasn't really focusing on the exhibits. He was really just killing time. He wondered about his career. He had decided he was going to do some investigative reporting, and that had led to him and his cameraman almost being killed. What was he going to do now? He could go back to what he was doing before and simply report on all of the major stories. He wasn't sure he wanted to do that either.

When he walked into the room and saw and heard the woman on the bed in his hotel room he stopped dead in his tracks. He wanted to say "what the fuck" but the sight of a beautiful woman on the bed in his room helped him to keep it in.

"No. I don't remember you. Should I?" He paused for a second. She looked familiar for some reason; like he had seen her somewhere recently, but he couldn't place her. "What are you doing in my room? Who let you in here?" Slowly he moved closer to her. He was on the defensive, but was trying to take on an offensive posture.

He looked at her as she moved around the room. She was beautiful and had a tremendous body. He noticed the strong features that he had seen while on the helicopter.....beautiful, strong, sexy. What an incredible combination.

"I am not sure I know what you are talking about. What rescue mission are you talking about? I work with a lot of cameramen, and, as far as I know, they are all doing well. In fact, the camerawoman I work with are doing well too." He wasn't sure whether this was a test or not, but he wasn't taking any chances. He turned and followed her every move. He watched her by the window, where the sunlight accentuated her form and beauty.

Power didn't say anything when he saw her looking through his hone. He wasnt happy about it, but there wasn't much he could do about it. "I don't need a babysitter. I got the message and I am capable of complying with the directions. You don't need to be here to check up on my like I am a little kid."

He knew that there was no way she was leaving him. She had orders, and, he was pretty good at carrying out those orders. He had witnessed first hand her execution of a rescue mission.....his, and she was very good at what she did. There was no way that she was going to leave him alone.

He started to pack his suitcase. "I guess that someone has taken care of changing my travel plans. My flight wasn't for a couple days and now you want me to leave right away." He went back to his packing; unsure if he was going to get a response from her. He took the last of his clothes out of the drawer, and put them in his suitcase. "Okay, what is next?"

"I am not pouting. I understood the directives and I am willing to follow them. I do not need a babysitter, but if they want to have a beautiful woman follow me around for a while, I am okay with that. Things could be a lot worse than to have someone as attractive as you with me." It was an attempt to lighten the mood a little, but it was also a statement of fact. She was attractive and he would not mind if they spent time together.

He followed her out of the room. Power wasnt sure that she was happy with what he said, but he really didnt care. He stopped short when she stopped to take out her phone. When they started to move again, it seemed as if her demeanor had changed.

He wasnt sure what the message on her phone had said, but it changed the mood as they moved out of the building and into the waiting car. Once they were situated, he looked at her. "Are you okay? You seem upset after getting that message."
