OOC: Okay, this thread is about a gorgeous woman (me) who gets lost in the snowy mountains and gets rescued by a hunk who lives in the mountains. I need a volunteer to play the man's part. The character can be wide open, but he needs to be moderately rich (cabin in the woods type thing) and sensitive/strong. Other than that, I'm open to possibilities!
IC: Well, that's it, I thought, no more oomph in this engine. I let the Jeep roll to a stop, trying to eke out a few more feet into the snowy trail. No other tracks on this road. That's not a good sign, I thought to myself. Nobody comes this way for months at a time. I sighed, thinking how stupid this had been....
Well, a girl's gotta have her fun and for the last few months, fun had been the last thing on my mind. Settling accounts in Colorado Springs was great, and the money wasn't bad, either. I had made a wager on this Jeep, though, I thought, kicking the dash in frustration. Oh, it'll go forever, the guy had said. Next time, buy from a dealer, idiot. At least his tow will have to come get you. I picked up my phone and pulled back my parka, eager to get this over with.
Beep. Hissssss. I lifted the phone from my ear and stared at it. No way. No cell phone reception? You gotta be kidding me. My mind raced as I considered my options. Stuck in a snowstorm in a crappy Jeep, surrounded by pine forest and Rockies and wolves. Shudder. Why couldn't I have just gone for a ride in a small plane or something, something safe?
