Request to Holiday Travelers...

Hello....
My real name is something icky but yall know me as Lizzy. What some of you may not know is that I drive a semi for a living, yes I am a big truck driver, a trucker... a "Lady of the Road"..... and many other names, good and bad.

I am making a plea to anyone traveling from now until 1/2/07.
If you do not have to drive.... DON'T!!!!

Myself and my 'co-workers' have jobs to do this holiday season.... we are supposed to deliever your packages and the things that you would like recieve over the next two weeks gets brought by me and those that are like myself.

Many of you are not used to driving..... many of you are not used to driving some of the distances that you are attempting this holiday season.... you make it enormously difficult for us to do our jobs.... you make it harder for us to keep you and others like you alive when you dart in front of us... you make it so much harder for us....

I am begging you to please please please keep yourselves safe.
Keep everyone safe this holiday season.....
We have families too... families that are not getting to see us over the holiday season....we want to see them.... and will after our jobs our done... please don't take our lives from us because we are trying to avoid you... in your cars.... sober or drunk.

Surely you jest. Do you think that somehow, just because it is the holiday season people will watch what they are doing?

The same people who dive while putting on makeup or chatting with their friends on their cells will become even more of a hazard. They will now thing that because it is the holiday season they can drive even better after a couple too many drinks, and think that they can get away with it.

I only hope that you were smart enough to equip you rig with push bumpers for the season.
