Hi all,
I have an EV story I want to enter in the upcoming NND story event but I'd like a Reader (or two maybe) to take it for a spin first (in case I've missed something I'll regret later).

It's ~12K words long (3-4 Lit pages, I think??), ready for publication (pending editing/review only), and nothing too extreme (no violence, scat, rape, etc.). It's about a married couple who go for a hike in the mountains, eventually finding they're the last ones out on the trail and things progress from there.

From a Reader's perspective, I'd love to hear feedback on story flow, dialog, believability (somewhat, at least), coherence, likable characters, 'heat', and/or any other stuff I might not even know to ask for. :)

Basically, just whatever impressions you're willing to share, really.

PM if interested and I'll figure out how to get the copy to you.

Thanks!
Roo

Absolutely worth to read till the final dot

I had the big pleasure - still wearing a huge idiot smile of happiness which hopefully won't wear off too fast - to read through this, from my humble point of view, a masterpiece! - thanks for letting me read, Roo!

To anyone who might consider of volunteering too: DO IT! it was a very entertaining and inspiring story.

  • story flow - continuous build-up with lots of surprises; from my point of view: at no time to slow or sidetracked
  • dialogues - absolutely to the point including inner monologue, with a lot wit and humor - together with twists, cliffhangers, and respect for characters (yes all inside!), that's what makes a story not good, but brilliant to me
  • believability (somewhat, at least) - mmh...not really what you might put on the schedule each day, but there surely are more weird things happening every day. It's nowhere too farfetched. So, yes, a very outgoing, but plausible fantasy that might come from someone's real life experience --- The world might be a bit brighter if we would dare to do just half of it
  • coherence - no sudden leaps in the story line, great!
  • likable characters - Between the lines there's so much romance and affection shining through, I could cuddle them all day long. I liked the small details a lot, the tenderness, the teasing, the challenges between them. An inspiration for all of us.
  • 'heat' - its eroticism is mainly found between the sexy scenes - which are grand! - fueled further by gradual teasing, delay, and sometimes more, sometimes less subtle dialogues -- good things take time to be created, to be kept up and, finally, to be concluded with an explosion of joy
  • anything else - different figures of speech used (yes, make my knees weak!); some rarely/less often used vocabulary (mmh, make my mind melt); closing the reference circle to an earlier event/uncovering a hidden puzzle within the story (I'm pudding in your hands!)

To sum up: Pretty high in my personal top ten list, even though it's not even published . (Maybe you need a more critical reader ;) )

Looking forward to see more stories from you. I'm not sure if there ever should be a sequel, but, yes, it would be nice to find what else is on those lists...

Such glowing comments! Thanks, so much. I truly appreciate the feedback you provided, especially the more candid, less flattering stuff, that you included separately.

It’s very much appreciated and the story will be all the better, thanks to your honest reading and calling some things out for me.

Thanks again,
Roo
