Republicans

Not all Republicans are idiots,

But if you meet an idiot, you can bet your last dollar he's a Republican.

I'm sorry. If you believe all that shit, truly believe everything that is said on this board, then you fucking frighten me. I'm not joking. I'm serious.

Are there all Democrat neighborhoods in America? I mean in a Republican lead world we have to still have some segregation.

I want to belong to a Democrats only Country Club and a Democrats only home owner's association.

I think I need to move to Massachusetts or Vermont. Maybe San Francisco.

Hmmmmmmmmm, it was the Republicans that passed the equal rights bills in congress in the 60's. It was the southern Democrats that enforced and defended segregation at every turn.

Better start sorting myth from fact young lady.

Once you begin to treat a minority or any other sub-group with special privilege and then 'enforce' that privilege with requirements you have in concept, if not in fact, relegated them to the status of 'reservation Indian'. By placing yourself above them as 'protector' you have assumed the role of guardian. Not all that far removed from the plantation owners of yore. You have by implication stated that they are unable to conduct their own affairs and should have the protection of those more fitted to determine their future. At what point do they become human beings? At what point are they truly emancipated from the patronization and condecension of the majority?

Forget the dems and repubs - become a Libertarian! Now that is something to be proud of! :D

Unfortunately, there aren't really any Libertarian neighborhoods. :(

If the Libertarians were a viable option in my town, I'd be one. (Actually, I am one, just not registered as one... they understand ;) )

The exclusionary principle is traditionally more of a Republican ideal. Democrats have a tendency to feel that human issues are of primary concern and should be addressed hand in hand with economic. For the most part one should only be a Republican if one has a lot of money and is more concerned with protecting it than the general welfare of society. I wonder what percentage of the 'heads of households' in gated communities are Republican?

As far as Libertarians...how can you trust that people, left to their own devices will make appropriate decisions?

What scares you?

Accuracy? Accountability for one's life? Responsibility?

I don't go with the mainline republican thought, except when it crosses into my Libertarian ideology, then I examine it with alot of scrutiny.
Other than that, I'm not that concerned with either party's bullshit. Both parties seek control, so much so that they're barely distinguishable. :D

One of the most nonsensical pieces of gibberish I've had the mispleasure of reading in quite a while.

Your beliefs just don't fit the facts.

Hey some of those Enron and Worldcom and Aldelphi people in gated communites are moving up to new, federally-operated, barbed-wired gated communities, like Lewisburg and Leavenworth.

what facts?

in a general sense, what he says is true.

republicans = big business = cut taxes, all about money and keeping it

democrats = small business, minorities = more social issues

I'm impressed by your open-mindedness. Really.

Ooh, look my chalupa is getting cold.

You know, I would defend myself, but I don't see anyone making any arguments...and besides, I have to leave in a bit.

well

Republican=Make a living on your own
Democrat=If your neighbor has two of something that you have none the government will steal it from your neighbor and give it to you.

In one word, BULLSHIT.

Corporations donate equally to both parties. They have learned to cover their ass. Just look at the Enron donation breakdown.

The Repulicans receive more contributions, true. But those contributions are small contributions but great in number.

The Democrats recieve most of their monies from the unions and the trial lawyers association. Not from small contibutors.

The reason that large corporations receive so many tax breaks is because of Democratic initiatives. The large corporations employ most of the union workers. The Democrats dare not kill the goose that lays the golden egg. The "Big Business" myth is the most pervasive and misdirecting lie the Democrats have been able to perpetuate.

blah blah blah blah blah

spew spew spew spew

it's that time again....let's play I hate democrats and refuse to see reality !

Make me understand

I really don't understand what is so great about being a democrat. I believe our country is so great because of capitalism. Pure liberalism would drive this country into being another Canda or Europe. I am sure they are ok places to live but nothing like here. Please tell me what is so appealing about liberalism.
