As Republicans continue their assault on women while racking up trillions of dollars in new debt, the public seems to be taking notice according to recent polls and actions by the RNC.

In my home state, the RNC has cancelled all ad services through election day for Rep. Keith Rothfus. Rothfus is competing in a more fairly drawn district, one which wasn't gerrymandered by Republicans. His opponent, Connor Lamb, won his seat in a special election earlier this year in a district which went for the con artist in 2016.

Based on their actions, the RNC has concluded Rothfus won't win and is conceding the district to Democrats.

In a hypothetical rematch, Hillary Clinton would again get more of the popular vote than the con artist, 44 percent to 36 percent, which includes candidates for the Green and Libertarian parties. In a one-on-one matchup, Clinton would decisively trounce the con artist, 50 to 41 percent.

And finally, performing their own internal polling, the RNC found 71 percent of con artist supporters said it was extremely or somewhat likely Democrats would win in November.

The RNC study also finds “a wide gender gap and generation gap,” finding Democrats favored by women of all ages and also by men ages 18 to 44. Needless to say, scared white men over the age of 45 support a Republican candidate by 15 percentage points.

The message, it seems, is Republicans are digging their grave as fast as they can yet can't help themselves. So intent on digging that hole, they're oblivious to the bulldozer coming up behind them.

The Republicans are only in trouble if folks go to the polls and vote against them. So, guess what folks should do.

Isn't the electoral map so profoundly distorted (through gerrymandering and voter suppression etc) that the Democrats would have to win by a big margin to get a majority in the House?

My voting district (Virginia's 5th) is so gerrymandered that it goes all the way from Northern Virginia down to the southern border of the state to be able to include enough country yokels to override the Charlottesville academic center of the state. But the Dem might win this time (and we did manage a Dem in the office right before the Repugs gerrymandered us). The incumbent, a Trump Repug, is an admitted drop-down drunk who isn't running and isn't doing anything in the job anymore (which is fine, since he's a Trumpette) but isn't pulling out of his job until the last minute and the Repug running runs a distillery and has no political chops at all.

Happily Trump and the Republicans in Congress are shooting themselves in the crotch so often and so fiercely that that might be enough to put our Dem candidate over the top here.

The 2018 election focus is on Congress, but in 2020, besides the Congressional and Presidential races, the focus should be on the state reps who draw the district maps following the census. If district maps are more fair, the Electoral College will be more fair.

I wasn't, because I wasn't getting the vibes that Obama was trying to stuff it all in his own pockets like Trump is.

Were you concerned about Obamas' trillions?

Yes, I was because even though he was trying to fix the disaster left by Bush, there was a better way of going about it which didn't involve running up the debt.

Also, I love when people use Obama or Clinton as reference. What you're saying is you didn't like them because of X, yet you knew the con artist was worse X yet you still elected him.

There's a reason you're called uneducated.

Of course they are scared, you want to take as much prosperity and freedom from them as possible and eliminate as much opportunity as possible for their progeny to achieve any sort of prosperity either.

All Americans SHOULD be scared of the authoritarian leftist movement that you and most Democrats support and represent.

The message, it seems, is Republicans are digging their grave as fast as they can yet can't help themselves. So intent on digging that hole, they're oblivious to the bulldozer coming up behind them.

Both parties are doing that with their TOTAL FUCKING FAILURE to ever deliver on anything they ever promise.

Combine that with the fact that the US is just too damn big to manage under 1 set of rules and it's just a matter of time before we have to overhaul the the country and how it's governed. It's too big, complex and corrupt.

The only real question is how is that going to go down. Are we going to be able to come together and peaceably sort out our differences and come up with a better way to govern our country/states?

Or are we going to have to have another fight because control freaks gotta control freak?

He's not worse in the case of debt or a whole host of other issues despite narrative that he's the most heinous dictator to ever stain the soul of humanity.

And voting for "fuck you" doesn't have anything to do with being educated or not.
