It’s a sign of things to come. Here are their little nuggets:

The House approved by voice vote a nonbinding resolution reaffirming U.S. support for NATO. House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters on Capitol Hill that "NATO is indispensable. It is as important today as it ever has been. We're reflecting that in a resolution that we're bringing to the floor today."

The Senate voted 97-2 Tuesday night to approve a similar nonbinding resolution to reaffirm the U.S. relationship with and support for NATO.

Senators voted overwhelmingly Wednesday calling on Trump to get congressional approval before using national security as a reason for imposing tariffs on other nations, as he did recently with steel and aluminum levies against Mexico, Canada and the European Union.

The bipartisan 88-to-11 tally on the non-binding resolution sends a message to the White House about how frustrated senators are over Trump's disruptive moves on tariffs.

It don't mean shit. They know Trump is right and nobody cares what Democrats have to say about it.

Sigh....Do you care what the Republicans have to say about it? Did you even read it, or do you automatically just type Democrats bad while a caveman voice plays in your head.

The Congress did this very (very) quietly in such a way that Trump won't even know they did it. No one on his staff will tell him Congress did it, and the Republicans in Congress know this. They only did it for their own campaign purposes, being able to tell their constituents that they oh so bravely voted for it.

lol you know the answers to each of those questions.

You don’t think it’ll be the lead story on Faux Friends every morning?

Yep.

well, he's not wrong about it not meaning shit. the rest of that is pure nonsense though.

I think Congress was wrong.
Germany has about 100 tanks and less than six functional warplanes, and yet Congress is worried about stepping on the toes of this valued ally?

NATO is of critical importance. . .

. . .to all of the NATO nations actually in Europe.

Containing Russian tank advances is not how WWIII will be fought.

Baby nuggets.

About as baby as the UN writing letters to dictators telling them how very very unhappy they are with their dictatorship and to please stop being such dicks.

The fact that both parties are against it just makes me think we should even more than I already did.

Valued ally...LOL

Funny that Trump actually states what he wanted for once. NATO countries should step up their defense spending to buy American made war machines.

Political CYA, Republicans know what the President is saying. All but deep state Republicans and Democrats support what he's doing. Somebody needs to snap Europe out of their shit, and Trump is doing just that. Call it political tough love.

Perhaps instread we should just go along with dictators. Support them as Trump said he was considering supporting Russia’s claim to Crimea? Is that better?

If LBJ or Kennedy were President today, they'd be equally hated or more for their attitudes on a wide range of issues.
Trump beat Clinton the same way that Kennedy beat Nixon; through the use of new media. And some dirty tricks.

nothing we can do about it

IS THERE?

He’s not doing anything that past Presidents haven’t done themselves, he is just louder. Everyone knows that.

If LBJ or Kennedy were President today, .

I see what you are saying, but please don't use these dignified presidents' names in the same paragraph as Dump.

For one they had strong legislative (government) experience as they were both senators.

Dump's a joke.

Much of their historically applied Dignity comes from general ignorance about what they were really like as people, thanks to reporters who didn't report on personal matters, government employees who were loyal with secret information and huge armies of party loyalist insiders to spread pr and disinformation about everything from Fiddle & Faddle to Secret Wars.

Trump has never had any of those "luxuries", yet still became President.

In some ways, he might be the most Honest President the country's ever had.

Well well well... Tossed the Republicans into the deep state tin hat club... Nice.
