The next Republican debate is set for Dec 15, 2015 in Las Vegas.

Should there be an undercard debate? I think they are just for justifying the fund raising of losers, who should withdraw so the Prime Candidates can concentrate.

Given that Trump and Carson have stumbled in trying to be relevant to the current situation how soft/hard should the CNN moderator be on them?

"Yes or No, have you stopped beating your wife?" is probably not a serious question and Wolf probably won't use it. But shouldn't he ask Trump about the registration of Moslems and ask him to contrast that with the Registration of Jews in Germany? It seems fair to me. The Donald avoided that question this week. Maybe by the 15th he'll have time to consult his advisers?

What would you ask the candidates?

I would think that all of Trump's advisers (and Ben Carson's too) are bald by now.

I am amazed that the GOP still allows their debates to be on the one sided liberal media outlets.

Well what would you suggest?

Perhaps if they would do a Fox News debate and then a Wonkette debate they might cover the spectrum a bit more. CNN is not particularly liberal really.

This highlighted statement is rather funny, actually hilarious.

Since many of the conservative folks who would be voting for the Republican nominee watch Fox news, it seems like Fox New would give them the targeted audience.

The venue of CNN is fine with me, but they should at least use conservative
moderators and NOT CNN pundits. Let CNN rake in the dough, but at least let the conservative population get some real questions regarding policy and not personal attacks.

If this debate scenario is so evenly bases, then when is the Democratic debate going to be on Fox News?

Maybe they should use Rush Limbaugh and Tucker Carlson as moderators to give the show a Conservative flavor, or perhaps Big Dick Chaney and Richard Pearl?

So what questions would you suggest? Give us an example of good conservative questions that would allow the candidates to lay out the policies they would actually follow?

** Waiting**

It's hard isn't it, to come up with a question that would allow Ted Cruz to explain how his tax plans will spread the benefits of Liberty and Justice to those who are oppressed by the Christians who want religious Liberty for ALL (Christians).

Until things change Trump and Carson beat the fuck outta the rest. You cant beat a winner with a zero loser.

Fox has its hysterical homosexual liberals who hate Trump and America. Shepherd Smith every afternoon. Andrew Napolitano is another faggot. Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera.

You are right we should just stick with the Candy Crowley' of CNN making sure the Dem candidate is favored in the debate. And pulease explain to me how the present tax system is spreading the benefits to the folks who are suffering under Christian oppression? Is there a lot of Christian oppression in your neighborhood, because I haven't noticed any where I live, but maybe its because I am an Atheist and don't pay a lot of attention to the goings on of the baby jesus.

Well what questions would be fair and balanced? I keep asking but you keep dodging.

Don't ask me to explain Cruz to you I have no idea why Texans elected that dimwit.

And there won't be any Demo's at the debate. It's Rethuglicans only.

No, it's because you choose to ignore it. So do I but I know it's there I simply don't mind most of the time.

Only a week to go and lots of new topics in the news!

San Bernardino

Colorado Springs

Paris

and I'm sure abortion and all the religious crap.

What would you ask the Candidates?

"The San Bernadino gunman and his wife were Pakistani. Would you overthink the US relations to Pakistan ? Would you prefer the same solution for Pakistan like for Syria ? If not, what would you do different?"

Chris Christie and Rand Paul make the cut for next GOP debate

U.S. Republican presidential candidates Chris Christie and Rand Paul will be in the prime-time lineup for the party’s next presidential debate, CNN said on Sunday.

Donald Trump will hold center stage as the party front-runner on the main stage on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, CNN said, flanked by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Ted Cruz, who took the lead in an Iowa opinion poll on Saturday.

Christie, following a surge in support in the early voting state of New Hampshire, will return to the prime-time debate after being bumped off it for a Fox Business debate last month, CNN said.

Paul kept his spot thanks to a Fox News Iowa poll released Sunday that showed him strong enough in that state, according to CNN.Others on the main stage include Senator Marco Rubio, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, businesswoman Carly Fiorina and Ohio Governor John Kasich, the network said.

Podiums packed with pandering political pricks!:D

GOP establishment worries about Cruz-Trump showdown

(CNN)Call it the Republican establishment's nightmare scenario.

The GOP establishment, confronted by a recalcitrant electorate that refuses to leave Donald Trump, is being forced to take a fresh look at Ted Cruz, a man with grassroots strength in key early primary states and few friends in Washington.

Suddenly, the Republican Party's best hope could be a man hell-bent on transforming it: a senator who openly spars with fellow GOP colleagues, and has campaigned by painting its leaders as spineless and feeble.

Poll: Clinton beating Trump, Cruz but not Rubio

Rubio, who now sits in third place in the GOP horse race with 15%, would defeat Clinton 48% to 45%, according to the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.

Rubio performs strongly among independents against Clinton -- 44% to 37% -- and narrows the Democrat's advantage with Hispanics, clinching 36% of that demographic to Clinton's 59%.

And while Ben Carson's stock may be plummeting in the race for the Republican nomination -- he's slipped from once threatening Trump's lead position to a fourth place finish in the latest polls -- the retired neurosurgeon remains competitive with the likely Democratic nominee.

Carson faces a dead heat when matched with Clinton in a hypothetical general election, taking 47% to Clinton's 46%, according to the poll.

Less than 24 hours until the debate. Let the pandering pontification begin!

NO question about or referencing Nazi Germany is EVER "fair."

My blanket position for years has been NO discussion of Nazi Germany in relation to ANY current events. It should be considered a sui generis subject that is never brought up, for at least two very good reasons. First off, we are programmed with this World War II obsession by the schools and adult world from early childhood on, through massive educational emphasis in high school, and of course from frequent media and entertainment references, yet, this was only one brief period in the entire course of human history. If someone can't find other analogies without resorting to Hitler, Nazi's, WWII, etc, they are uneducated or simply trying to use the nuclear option in a debate or discussion which is what that is. Secondly, its pretty much not comparable to anything in the world today and comparisons with that brief and unique time period have no merit in relationship to today's events.

Unless you have a compelling reason, like a person who casually advocates the same policy as the Nazis. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it. Look at Viet Nam, and Afghanistan. The same pattern of ring knocking stupidity. Asking about forcing the registration of a religious minority to distract the masses from how badly they are being manipulated, is well within the rights of people who remember historical assholes.

On a lighter note.

‘Goodbye, Rubio Tuesday’: Twitter mocks Republicans with #GOPSongs

From “Hey Rude,” a play on The Beatles classic devoted to Donald Trump, to “You Gotta Fight Far to the Right,” a dig at the presidential nomination process inspired by the Beastie Boys’ “You Gotta Fight For Your Right,” Twitter lit up on Tuesday with playful twists on pop songs targeted at Republicans.

The hashtag #GOPSongs was a top trender on Twitter, with thousands tweaking famous song titles and lyrics as the hours counted down to the fifth Republican presidential TV debate, set for Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

Two predictions:

1. Every mainstream pundit will declare Rubio the winner of the debate.

2. Regular people surveyed, on the other hand, will be much less enthusiastic.
