I don't know if anyone's ever going to see this, let alone other transgender people like myself. It seems like every thread is dedicated to LGB, but never the T.
So I decided to start a trans tread where people can introduce themselves!

My name's Max, I'm a bisexual FtM, an artist, a video game nerd, and a bondage enthusiast. I play piano (badly), and watercolour (also badly). I love making friends, and I'm not ashamed of my trans status.

So if you yourself are transgender, transsexual, or maybe even simply a drag artist, go ahead and introduce yourself! I'd love to hear from you.

I have a question: do all FtMs play piano? MtFs have to play guitar - this is a fact. You actually have to prove to your endocrinologist that you can play Stairway to Heaven before they'll give you estrogen. That seems fair - we can't have just anyone turning up asking to transition without showing commitment

I believe FtMs are required to master some sort of keyboard instrument. Unfortunately I didn't have access to a xylophone.
I'm also pretty sure that both trans men and trans women have the option of playing harmonica instead.

Damn. That's a tough situation to be in. I would say that it's not worth being with someone who wouldn't accept who you're truly are, but I don't really know you or your situation all that well.
I WILL say that it's never too late to transition, no matter how old you are. And you deserve to be able to be your authentic self, whomever that may be.

The trans man at 2.25 is actually player an Enigma harmonica, later developed by the Nazi's into a cipher machine. Luckily we had a Turin synth and could turn it into plain speech. That was all a long time ago though

I don't actively seek out sexual partners, but I'm a very, very romantic person and love doting on/cuddling with people and giving oral to men (and masculine women). I've only got one foot out of the closet, having come out on the book of face and to a few fellow uni students and two teachers. I've yet to build up the courage to correct people when they call me "ma'am" or "miss". I'm a borderline obsessive Marvel fan.

I was just never really into Disney stuff except for The Lion King and Mulan. I think that's why It didn't interest me.

I've played every game except the new one, because I haven't been able to afford it yet. My favorite is Jolteon because yellow fox-dog-bunny-thing that shoots lightning bolts? Awesome.

Hi! I don't know how old you are, but I know trans women who have transitioned as late as their 60s and 70s, and later is possible too. I personally transitioned last year at 44.

The funny thing is, I spent my late 30s thinking it was too late for me to transition. But it's never too late if it's something you need to do. I can't guarantee that your marriage will survive the change, but I know plenty of people who have been pleasantly surprised. And if your wife isn't willing to embrace who you really are, maybe it's okay if your marriage ends.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do -- only you can decide that. I'm just trying to tell you what's possible. I know it's difficult -- my heart goes out to you, sweetie.
