It was said that in LA there were a few vampire covens that were strong, and even to this day those who have heard stories of vampires got some people wanting to become one. But one reporter by the name of Delilah Conner was the kind of girl that had an open mind and didn't come to conclusions without really thinking them through. She had heard there was a man who knew about vampires and had a story to tell, she met with him and a mind blowing story he gave, but not once did she know that it was him that he was talking about, he was a young man with deep eyes and long hair tied back, there meeting was something that she wouldn't ever forget, nor did she know that it was going to be something to trully remember. She was a reporter but very eager to tell the truth of stories, nothing full of bull shit. And she wasn't like most, she cared for the person that told there story. But as she was heading to her car she heard something, in the shadows.

As she approached her car the night was dark. Full of ominous grey clouds that scattered about. The night was quiet, there was almost no stir of anything until she heard the shadow. At first that was all it was, just a shadow. Soon it took form.

The man appeared young and almost oddly pale. Dressed in clothing that seemed about ten years out of place. His hair long blond hair tied back, and dressed in a elegant fashion that seemed out of place with the hustle and bustle of the modern city life.

His skin was pale, a bit more then usual even for someone who stayed in doors. His figure was a bit muscular but not in a overt way, but rather in a broad striking figure.

As she stopped he smiled to himself,

"I see my reputation proceeds me Miss Conners."

He had heared of her, and now he had a chance to meet her. Already he could feel the hunger in his heart. The desire that had brought him there. He felt the deep need to feed upon her delicate neck. Still he fought it, focusing and trying to cast away the thought.

Delilah was startled she saw him, he fit the description of Lestat, she pressed her back side against her car. "Ive heard about you as well the vampire known as Lestat, except by the description you were half dead" She covered up her neck. She looked up for just a moment but still paying attention to him. "You are the killer of thousands and the maker of a few" She crossed her arms.

"What do you want with me, to kill me perhaps? which wouldn't be wise, I don't think you want a lot of cops on your tail which they would be, seeing you as a satanest instead of a vampire" She wasn't afraid to die, and what she knew about him was something she wished she hadn't known.

As he encircled the car it seemed as if fear took hold of her. No one was with in miles of her car. Only the distant sound of trucks on the freeway above gave any sound. Each time they rumbled silence followed. The night had just begun, and the darkness was heavy on the parking lot.

The figure moved a bit closer to her as he took confident strides. In the light she saw his well defined features. Darkness seemed to accent his muscular form rather then hide it. Shadows seemed to cling to his face, just barely making it visible. His broad shoulders came into her view as he stood very close to her. Dark black eyes watching her closely, as they wandered up and down her form,

"That dosn't sound very fun does it, and plus that would ruin a good story. You are looking for a story arn't you?"

He found himself wondering why he didn't just shove her against the car and drink her blood. Still he found himself thinking other thoughts about her, beyond the simple drinking of blood. This close she was quite a bit more attractive then the articles he had read led him to believe. Still he felt the hunger rising, he found himself trying to fight it.

She wouldn't lie she was getting pretty scared but she didn't try and run because she knew that she was in danger. "Im not like every reporter out there, all I want is the truth, its story enough to know that there are honest to god vampires out in this world" she rubbed her shoulder looking into his eyes, she wasn't afraid of anything, until she met this man. She could sense his hunger, it didn't take a mind reader to be able to see the man was hungry. "Will I be just another victim of yours? Tossed once im dead and your done with me?"

He laughed at her fear. A dark laughter that rose and echoed off the walls of car garage. His fangs gleamed in the garage lights as shadows consumed everything in the distance. As his eyes watched her there was a hunger, partially for blood, partially for desire, and partially a curiousity.

He grinned darkly as he moved in a flash right next to her,

"Don't you want the story?"

Vanishing he reappeared on her other side,

"Or do you get in your little car and drive. Tossing the dead, that sounds so crude."

Right next to her she could see the paleness of his features. The way his fangs seemed to hunger for a meal. The darkness of his features and the muscular contours of his features. There was a sharpness about his features a refined mannerism.

He kept feeling the desire to do just as she said. Still she was amusing for the time. He could not feed on her even though he continued to feel the desire to do so. Perhaps he wanted her physically, or perhaps he just didn't want to mar her features with bite marks. Regardless he could feel the hunger taking control.

She didn't know what he wanted, which was rather foolish because she knew what he wanted, she always knew what he wanted. Slowly as he started to tease her, going to one side to the other, she closed her eyes, unsure of what was going to happen now with him. She opened her eyes. "I don't plan on lying I am a reporter but I do not lie, as everyone, I don't post stupid rumors"

Puffs of shadow were all she could see as she felt him move closer with each vanishing act. His eyes darkened with black storms as he watched her. She could feel the heat of his breath upon her neck. His head raised as his fangs glistened against the bright flourescent of the garage lights. She could feel his strong muscular form pressed against her helpless soft one. Then......

Nothing.

She heard a soft almost gurgling chuckle as she noticed he sat on a parked white dodge neon 2 cars away from her. He was holding her jacket, which left her a bit cold in only her top. His strong hands clipped lightly,

"Bravo, Bravo Miss Conners. Well you might as well start with your first inquiry."

He tilted his head slightly as he watched her. Shadows outlined his broad muscular form along with the ivory complexion of his skin. Beneath the darkness he looked quite young, his figure cast in a dashing form of darkness.

He wondered why he didn't bite her. A vareity of reasons came to his mind. There was the obvious thought that he may want to have her physically, but then again those embraces were so short and meaningless usually. He had thought of toying with his food, but he didn't think that was the real reason. No, there was something different about her, and he intended to find out what.

She felt his breath on her, when he held her she didn't know what he was going to do, but she hadn't seen his face, just bits and pieces, but soon when she turned she saw him again, she brushed her hand up to her neck still feeling his icy cool breath, taking a deep breath herself she sat up on her car looking at him. "There a reason why you took my coat?" She crossed her arms looking at him, she couldn't help but grin, she shook off the fear she felt, she couldn't feel the fear, she was a reporter after all.

"What is a goal of a vampire some say its just to kill everything in sight, but I don't see that, you could have killed me and yet you spared me, perhaps for something else, and perhaps I will know death soon enough" She sighed a little bit. Her brown eyes looked in the darkness of his face, she could smell an on coming storm but she knew that it was far off, she had seen a rather handsome man a while ago, and wondered if it was him, yet she had faith.

As she sat on the hood of her car and relaxed it seemed as if she had a series of questions to ask the playful vampire. The winds bristled lightly upon the distant air. Another loud diesel truck rolled by on the freeway above sending down a series of small pebbles and rubble that crackled in it's wake. Only shadows and empty cars surrounded them.

One lingering hand gently floated through the air as he watched her curiously. She could see his tongue lick the tips of his fangs as he watched her. Swirling clouds of darkness seemed to just keep his face out of full view. The luminscent coloring of his ivory skin continued to show just beyond the cuffs of his well garbed outfit. It seemed to cling to every muscle as he swayed back and forth. His voice almost lyrical in it's laughter,

"A jacket, is that what you think I grabbed?"

He pulled the jacket to his face and took in a deep breath,

"There is much a man can learn from a woman's scent. As for all your dark allegories, we feed, you don't mourn the cow you ate at burger king, why should we mourn your kine?"

He eased himself back on the car as he waited for a reply. It always delighted him how much joy humans took in eating a vareity of sentient creatures but yet they never figured themselves in the food chain. There was always someone higher up, for humans, and even for vampires.

She watched him and thought for a moment 'Not every human is the same, take me for instance, I don't eat meat, im a vegetarian" She didn't have anything to write with but didn't need it, she looked his way again. "So basically we are all walking happy meals to you then" She said looking at the vampire before her, she couldn't help but just laugh. "Yes thats what ive called my own kind for a long time, we are happy meals on legs, fast food that never gets old, because im assuming we don't all taste the same?"

As she made her comment it caused him to chuckle lightly. His voice echoed just above the noise of the cars along the highway above. The faint flourscents cast a omonous glow. A faint few scattered stars of night shined down dimly. The sounds of the city were carrying upon the air that night.

She continued her comments quite casually as the cold air of the parking garage moved on her features. As he shifted his posture slightly she could feel a hunger with in herself, it was a old vampire trait, there was something about the way vampires moved that made desire in humans rise.

He brushed back a loose strand of his hair gracefully. His pale moon white hands rested on the windshield of the car. His broad muscular chest rippled slightly as it pushed outwards a bit. Her jacket rested precariously close beside him,

"Every cow is different as well, and unlike those dime comics of Dracula we don't usually kill our victims, just feed. You replinish blood....in time."

He grinned darkly at her as his fangs glimered in the white lights,

"Then again sometimes we do like to have fun with our food."

He found her questions amusing and a bit comical. Vegetarian? Such a odd way for a human to live. It meant little in the end. This cow, that cow, there were hiearchies, and since he was already damned there was little point playing the devout saint. Then again he had to admit she did look rather fetching in the cold air.

She looked at him, a kind smile on her face "We live the way we live, no one tells us how to live, even if people dare try, in this world its one nasty fight, in my line of work you either have it or don't, its something you are born with, but I do not put shit in it that makes it garbage to read, if I wanted junk to read id go through my junk mail" She sighed a bit as she stood up feeling something in her body that made her want him, she shook it off.

There was silence up above as the two watched each other with curious eyes. The ground was slick, covered with oil spills, gasoline leaks and faint trickling water from a recent rainfall. Scracted with a few skid marks it showed the age of the pavement.

He twirled one hand upward as if climbing a small rope. As he did so she could feel the hotness in her body rise. Subtle change in the air as if a cool breath was blowing through her clothing. That tingling sensation that occurs when one feels the supernatural close to them. A moistness on her skin that caused her to yearn for touch.

Darkness continued to keep the edge of his face just out of sight. Muscular shoulders buldged slightly as he rolled them. His dark eyes continued to watch her curiously. His voice floated just above the silence, almost like a whisper in her ear.

"We do live the way we live don't we. Some of us pull strings and some of us have our strings pulled."

He took in a deep breath of air as his outfit ruffled slightly,

"Then again I'm already Damned so not much to lose. Morals are such awful pretenses to hold."

He always found the new version of humanity far more interesting then the old. Television violence, Lawyering loopholes, internet pornography, constant warlike industries, and even the ocassionaly debachery. Of course all eras had there own darkness but this age seemed to enjoy it more publicly then the rest. It was a refreshing scene, more so then the victorian dictates and codes of the past. Still he did miss a attractive young woman in a corsett.

The whole time they were talking back and forth the need in her body was getting worse, but she tried to ignore it. A feeling that made her body heat up and catch on fire. But there was something about this man, something sad, she titled her head to the side wondering what was going to happen. Slowly as she wrapped it up, she got the information she needed and had good stuff to put in it, to explain what it is better.

Looking at him she smiled a bit "Maybe we will see each other again" She got in her car.

As she got in the car it all seemed quite familiar. There was the familiar sound of the door as it shut. The faintly odd car smell as she turned it on. Lowly the engine hummed as the car turned on. Quickly the breeze of the air conditoner started hitting her face rather briskly. Dimly the radio sounded in the backround, as her car slowly lurched forward.

Her body perhaps didn't feel quite right. Instead of the feeling dying it had increased. The heat with in her was almost now palpable. The desire to be touched like a great itch she needed scratched. She could feel a dampness on her as if she had just walked out of a shower almost.

As she adjusted her rear view mirror she noticed nothing as she passed one garage light. Then as she passed the second one there was a flash of a familiar shadow. Once more the distinguised figure she knew was near her, though this time in her back seat.

His muscular arms rested back. She could feel his dark eyes hotly upon her neck. As the garage light faded she could only make out his shape and the glisten of his fangs as he rested in the back seat of her car.

"You forgot your jacket."

He chuckled sinisterly in the back of her car.

He wondered if she had really thought after that whole show that she would just drive away into the ever after. Still he found himself hesitating on the thought of feeding. He was unsure why, but something struck him oddily about her still.

She was startled seeing him in the back of her car, she turned around and smiled as he gave back the jacket. "Thanks" She sighed a little bit, she bite her lip for a moment and turned back looking at him. "Is there some place I can take you? least I can do for a great interview" She smiled trying to be friendly but also trying to not become a meal in the process. She had no weapons nor did she need any, she rubbed her neck which was one sign of her being scared to death.

As she made the comment to him she seemed a bit nervous at the situation. In the small car there was not much room to manuever and her odd glance seemed to confirm that he was indeed in her car. Underneath the faint glow of one light they stopped. She felt her jacket as she felt the hotness upon her neck.

Soon he was no longer away from her but in the seat right next to her. His eyes dark gazing at her chest. His muscles flexed beneath his loose shirt. Her body was now nearly sweating from it's heat. Breath became heavy as she felt the desire for him almost unbearable. His voice was hot on her breath, as his eyes continued there heavy gaze on her chest as she breathed heavily,

"Well since your not doing anything."

Slowly one of his pale hands began to run up her thigh. It's brush against her skin, was warm and soothing. It sent a tingle through her body. He leaned close to her. She could feel he was hungry for more then blood. He was hungry for lust.

Her heart was racing, she had to get out of this bad situation, but his touch was so perfect to her, she shook her head and yawned getting out as no other cars were here. "I know your trying to seduce me and it wont work" She said finally remembered she had to meet a man name Louis for drinks, they didn't know each other but she bumped into him on the street and felt bad for doing it, she looked at him.

"Besides someone is waiting for me, I can take you home, but I must be going" she didn't want to be rude but she was being honest, she had Louis to think about right now and getting out of this horrible situation was something she needed to do and fast.

As she left the car she seemed to have no choice of recourse. He was much physicall stronger then her. She was in a all but abanonded parking garage and the security was no where to be seen. Only the faint glow of the luminscent lights seemed to give her any safety.

Slowly though she began to realize just how helpless she was. For the moment she was frozen, locked into a single position, and unable to move. Then she felt her body move to the car set once more. As if a puppet on strings she felt as if she had no choice but to sit beside him. She could not even find the control of her voice.

He grinned as she sat once more in the car,

"You'll find we have no control over our lives. You don't, and we don't as vampires. Yet you humans seem to love to think your free and independent when in fact you are not. Such a big ego you mortal kine cling to."

For several moments she sat there, unable to move, helpless, defenseless.
She felt his hands begin to softly caress her breasts.

Then in a instance he was gone. As if he had never been there. Her body released from the spell it was under. She was free, and he was no where to be seen. Her car was free to move once more as was she. The clock showed that no time had passed since she had left the newspaper station. A clever trick, or a deception of time she would never know.

Delilah was shocked she didn't understand what was going on, the feel of wanting to jump him and make love to him hit her, but she managed to stay away from it, when she finally was able to relax a bit she sighed. She had to reach the bar, which she was just around the corner to, she went into the restroom and got changed since she looked like crap, pulling her hair down and putting on a different dress, with some dark lipstick and eye liner, she sighed walking back out she wondered if he was waiting for her.
