Repetitious threads

When people log on, do they check the list and decide to just wish every single person listed a happy birthday? Do you know all these people? Do you like them? Do you even care that it's their birthday?

I don't think I've ever posted to a bday thread. I've PM'd maybe two people to wish them well on their bday.

What's up with there being so many bday threads? Doesn't it take the genuine meaning away if we wish EVERY SINGLE PERSON happy birthday?

Other irritating repetitions...

Congratulations on whatever... do we need multiple threads to congratulate people? Do we feel more important, or like it's a more sincere congrats if we're listed as the original poster?

Sex how to's There's an entire board for this. Wouldn't it be easier to find an old thread and read it, and then add any questions you had then it is to start an entirely new thread? And if there's already a thread pertaining to your question, is it necessary to start one?

 Gods, we bitch about the board being slow, or not being able to find a post you put up 5 minutes ago, and then we choke it with the same old mundane and pointless crap every day.

WHY?

Because we can.

Because Search isn't working properly.

Because we all don't read every thread on the board.

Because this is OUR board and we will post to it whatever we want.

There does seem to be an abundance of threads lately whining about other's posting habits though.

;)

Don't be idiotic, mmmmmk?

Because we like to wish our friends a Happy Birthday and don't always see the original thread.

As Angel said, because we can.

And maybe, just maybe, because it annoys the hell out of some people and we kinda like doing that at times, too.

You're right. :) But I wasn't whining.

And I wouldn't tell others NOT to post the same thing 7000 times, I was just wondering why. Mostly about the bday thing though.

Interesting point, pcg. I get a bit annoyed at the multiple birthday, when they are the same person.

I hear people bitching that topic has already been done, usually a newbie has started the thread. The topic may have already been done, but not with the new thread starter as a participation. Thats why they are starting the thread...to start a conversation among the people, there..now. Of course, this does not apply to every thread, but I think we should have more tolerance. I know there were topics I would not have posted to when I first came here, but I would now.

Does this mean I shouldn't start a new thread asking who here shaves and who doesn't?

I heard someone talking about idiots...

So, I'm here...

Should I start a new thread to congrat Ambro?

Or should I go to the How To?

no no no... start a new thread about idiots

If You dont like the threads dont read them. Pretty simple huh? I always thought it was an amazing concept that you could NOT do things... But people still complain when they do. Dont read the multiple threads.. Its So simple

This is the 94th time this thread has been done.

*leaving the thread*

Ok. For those who ride the short bus. I wasn't complaining. I was asking a couple of questions. I was wondering what motivates people to post the same thing over and over. What motivates them to wish people they may not know or like a happy birthday....

If you can't understand intent... don't bother replying.
