OK Ren, here's the plot.

You and i are cast together in the hall of gladiators, and we manage to escape, even at first we don't like each other. I am a theif, put in to the gladiator pit when i was caught, and that's where i meet you.

It's a gothic setting, with magic and myth if you like, and as much adventure as you can think up.
