The empty chairs at the official memorial in Oklahoma City are heart breaking. What better image than the empty chairs for all the life events these victims will not be around to experience.
I remember when it was announced and the overwhelming sadness I felt. I then saw the attempted rescue and I cried. Your deaths were so tragic and heartbreaking. Some of you never got a chance to experience life with all of its ups and downs.
It reminds me of a sad song by Eric Clapton and know that you belong here in heaven.
this we are supposed to believe........ but I can't help but think that there was no reason for such a tragedy. To all of those that died too soon, I weep for you. For the life that you could've had....for all the good things that you have missed......
Know that your deaths are not in vain........ and know that your memory will not easily fade......
This is one of those instances in history that we will never forget. I bet you all remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you found out about the devastation in Oklahoma City. My mother told me this was exactly how people were when Kennedy was assassinated.
I remember April 19, 1995 I was sitting in my Jr. College class. The professor was stoic and said not a work the entire class period. The TV was on, tuned to a news station and we all just sat there in awe of the tradgedy that was the handywork of some very sick individuals.
I will never forget this. When I was in Oklahoma in 1999, I made sure to go by to see and to lay flowers down in rememberance. Bless all of those that perished and the loved ones left behind.
