Why are your stories being rejected? Is it because they're flagged as AI? If so, ask yourself what it is about them that triggers the rejection. Do they read more like a business report than your favourite novel?

Read a chapter, or even a page, of your favourite novel. Now read a page of your latest story. What's different about the writing? Are your sentences too uniform? Does it read like you're imparting information, rather than engaging the reader's emotions?

Start with your opening sentence. That's what will draw your reader in or turn them off. Make sure it gives them a reason to keep reading: something intriguing, something sexy, something exciting. Something that leads directly to the following sentence, and the one after. Make your reader wonder what happens next, and make them care enough to find out.

This is what sets real writing apart from AI slop. This is what will get your story published.
