Reflective thoughts.

I have tried to live by the old Zen saying.

Life is painful,
Suffering is optional.

If suffering is a choice, then not suffering is the other option. I choose NOT to suffer. One way of making that decision a reality is to actively choose to concentrate and remember the good things, as you have suggested.

Remember that in order for there to be darkness there must be light. Look to the light in your life. I try to, even if it is the little things, because even the small stones can add up to an avalanche.

I had to put on my sunglasses. The glare off the reflections was getting to me...

Dancing lights can hypnotize,
Go sparkle someone else's eyes...

"When one is troubled
silence is not peace
but words unspoken"
I thought of this in the shower one day and realised when shite is happening I say nothing. I internalize and it does me no good. Reflective thoughts are interesting things. It is all to easy to read something and think? Yes, I agree but do no more.
If you reflect upon something, it hits a personal chord and we ignore it? How dumb are we? The emotional stoplight is red. STOP and listen, absorb and learn. Accept and apply.
Enough wise words, I need to take my own advice, once in awhile. :)
Interesting post LL. :) Thank you for sharing. :rose:
