WW2 began on September 1, 1939, when Nazi Germany invaded Poland. However, the U.S. government did deliberately provoke and lure Japan into attacking at Pearl Harbor, and definitely had advance knowledge it was coming. In fact, Roosevelt was counting on it: it was the only way to overcome the prevailing "isolationist" sentiment among the American people.

Similarly, Bush intentionally allowed the Sept. 11 attacks to happen. It was the only way to stampede the public behind the right-wing political program the ruling class wants to impose upon us.

This quote by Redwave deserves its own thread. Why? Because of the idiocy of this individual. It shows how he thinks, how he revises everything including history, to show how terrible the United States is.

Well, Redwave, if you hate it here so much, why don't you just pull your head out of your ass and find a country that you like.

I hear Iran/Iraq is looking for a few good idiots. You know, people that can't think for themselves because of their hatred for everything western.

What a fucking idiot you are....

Ya gotta understand

Dedbrainwaves history books are all written in pencil.......that way history can be changed, and managed, to fit the Dedbrainwave philosophy. This is consistent with all the great (actually not so great) communist revisionist history.........and historians......IMHO fiction at its worst:rolleyes:

Roosevelt had this great idea, see. We'll get into the war, but first we'll let Japan destroy our entire Navy. Yeah. He planned that.

The key to most conspircacy theorists is their absolutely assured belief that people in power are precognative about how their enormous abuses of power will result in the precise outcomes they forsee, kinda like the Emperor in "Star Wars" bragging that "All has transpired according to my design". It's a sort of myopic hindsight, seeing past events as directed towards singular futures, with no worry about how events will actually play out.

REDWAVE operates from the given that Capitalism is evil and the President hopelessly corrupt, and then works backwards through history to "prove" his given, finding every pattern he looks for. Real critical thinkers, political analysts and historians work the other way around.

REDWAVE has an honest sense of activism and concern, but will never, never be taken seriously as long as he continues to view history as if it were a Magic Eye painting that he swears looks like a ducky, insits that Socialism has never really been tried (as opposed to, yeah, it's been tried, and it don't fucking work), and feels that the better way to solve America's problems is via some addled-minded revolution, instead of the thousands of opportunities our system makes available for creating checks to power. He's silly.

Re: REDWAVE

Your first paragraph is correct.

The second one is a little far fetched, but not entirely impossible.

I like REDWAVE, I really do. I disagree with him about as much as I disagree with anyone, but he is completely earnest. There's rarely any guile to his posts at all.

The thing about Redwave is that he posts his ideas.

Sometimes he's wrong, sometimes he's right. So what?

Is it that threatening to you, Rodney, that one person has ideas you don't like/agree with?

If so, I'd suggest maybe you're the one living in the wrong country.

I think redwave is an extremist and thinks outside of the arena... hell sometimes not even the same sport...

but to devote a thread to the redcommies stupidity is self defeating. go into red's threads and prove the self proclaimed commie cocksucker wrong there

ok so red posts some extreme stuff that occasionally flies in the face of rational thinking. I do not however, and I could be wrong, remember him starting a thread just to call someone "a fucking idiot" RK, he does not agree with what you see as reasonable, so be it, I am pretty sure he would not agree with what you thought was reasonable as well. He does deserve credit for speaking his mind knowing full well he will be toasted over it. Is that not what free speech is all about?

No, that's what cable access is all about.

Actually BBW, REDWAVE can be just as vitriolic as anyone here. I seem to remember a thread started by REDWAVE entitled: "Proof that DCL is a lying sack of shit "

http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=99704

REDWAVE doesn't like me either. The words and names he has used in his descriptions of me are just as bad as what Rodney King used in this thread.

just a little perspective.

I agree with you. I don't care if the self proclaimed unemployed socialist lawyer cocksucker likes me or not.

I think a better thread title would be "The crumbs of toast" and not redwave.

fair enough, I did say I could be wrong and I was. I was not defending him, or at least not trying to read like I was which after further review I can see how that was construed. Yes he is as rude as the rest of us can be, but I do respect the passion in which he defends his position.

Ed Wood Jr. thought "Glen or Glenda" was an important film.
One of my more amusing possessions is an unopened triple cassette box of Ed Wood films, one of which is "Glen or Glenda". The best thing is the box: it's very pink and very furry.
