Actually, kamuikamui, I'm really no nuttier than a lot of people on this board. I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I do hope to make people think. The main point I want to get across is people shouldn't let the war propaganda on CNN and the other networks be their sole source of news. They should also consult alternative sources, like

Despite what everyone thinks:
There will never be peace in the Middle East, it's been a war zone since way before Christ was in knickers. Shit's been hitting the fan since God said "Canaan is yours, if you just kick the shit out of the people who already live there." Peace is not going to happen.
America is not the police force of the world. It's not our job to make sure people behave the way someone else outside of their nation thinks they should behave.
We're a superpower, so what. We're just the biggest kid on the playground. We aren't the metaphorical guy with the whistle and detention, he doesn't exist. We can exert influence til hell turns into the Ramada, but unless the people in other nations want to change, we're not going to accomplish miracles.

Some of us don't wear rose colored glasses. There never has been and there never will be people living side by side harmoniously in the middle east.
The interesting thing here is that if we go out into the world to change things we're bullies. If we don't, we're screamed at for being isolationistic and allowing evil to prevail against all those who get stepped on.

Of course America is run by American interests. You show me a single person who claims that their nation is not run by self interest and I'll show you a liar.
Are Americans supposed to be some sort of super human angels simply because we have the largest consumer base? Are we supposed to sacrifice ourselves so that everyone else in the world can use our money and our people? Are we supposed to flog ourselves because we managed to develop a rich consumer base and no one else has done that? Are we supposed to be ashamed of ourselves simply because we're American and we don't do what you think we should?
If you think there's a yes answer in there, you're sadly mistaken.
Americans are doing their best right now for the world instead of themselves. We give Israel 3 billion dollar a year. Our education budget was 1.2 billion and it just got cut. Is this right? Just because you think Americans should be doing something other than what they are doing doesn't make you right and us wrong. It makes you a hypocrite because in the reversed situation you would behave exactly like we are. How do I know? England behaved incredibly much worse than we did when it was the undisputed global leader. If we took England as an example then the sun would never set on America.
My idea of foreign policy is to cut everyone else off. Give to the WHO and the other organizations that help people at a grass roots level. Pull all of our troops out of police states, they're exhausted.
It doesn't matter if you agree with us or not. After nearly a year of tirades from people like p_p_man, I'm ready to tell every one of you critical british hypocrites to take a hike.
