You don't have to read the books, I'll lay down guidelines.
Firstly, Redwall takes place in a world of beasts such as rats, weasels, mice and other small, furry animals. There are no tigers or such. These beasts live almost exactly like normal medieval humans. Animals not to be controlled by a writer are: fish and birds.
Playable races are:
------------
Good guys
------------
Mice, Badgers, Badger Lords(one at a time), moles, hedgehogs, otters, shrews, and hares.
------------
Badguys
------------
Stoats, weasels, rats, greatrats, and foxes.
------------
Badgers and Badger Lords stand taller than everything else. Great Rats are twice the size of normal rats, but eveything else is the same size. Classes are: Wanderer, rogue, searat, vermin, abbeybeast(live in Redwall Abbey), Long Patrol(Hares only), and Rapscallions.

My character:
Mathias the Warrior
Class: Abbeybeast(one of the rare warriors among them)
Weapon: The two handed sword of Martin the Warrior the 1st
Armor: A plane green tunic and plane green pants.
Attitude: Very friendly and nice towards simple beasts, but very vicious and perilous when it comes to vermin.

Mathias the Warrior strode the rose battlements of his beloved Abbey, holding the sword in his paw. Foremole, leader of the moles walked up to him. "Mathias, Mother Mellus needs your help in the kitchen. The cake for the 15th midsummer Abbot's jubilee is in need of slicing and we can't find a knife big enough for it", he said.

OOC: The leader of the shrews is named Log a Log, the leader of the otters is Skipper, the hares are very militaristic, and, therefore have ranks. Badger Lords live in the Great Mountain of Salamandastron with their hares.

Is it okay if I come into this, if so I have a character

Darin Whitepaw
Class: sergeant (hare)
Weapon: longsword
Armor: plain brown pants and plain brown tunic with chain mail over tunic
Attitude: Very strict and gruff but friendly once you get to know him.

OOC: One little thing, hares are gluttons. It's fine. Why don't you visit the Abbey?

Darin walked into the Abbey and looked around. He had been on patrol for longer than he could remember and turned up nothing. He walked towards the kitchen, the smells of the food were over whelming to him and making his mouth water. He looked around, trying to see if anyone was about. When he saw that there wasn't anyone he began to walk towards the food that was sitting on the table but before he could touch it he heard, "Don't you dare touch that hare or I will sting you up like dried meat!"
Darin looked and saw Mother Mellus hurry into the cave, Mathias coming up behind her which caused Darin to run from the kitchen.

"What a glutton", said Mathias. "Hey Darin, come back in here. I made a Mushroom and leek pasty just for you", he shouted agter him.

Darin heard the magic word, there was free food for him. He turned and walked back into the kitchen, "Where is the food, or were you just teasing me?"

OOC: Just a suggestion, but hares would say something like this: "Where's the tucker, or were you insulting me, wot wot?". They say tucker instead of food and almost always say wot, wot at the end of their statements.

IC: "I was being serious, you ravenous hare", said Mathias, presenting Darien with the great pasty. He then brought out some elderberry wine to drink.

OOC: Whoops, sorry. Will do that from now on.

IC: "Ah, good tucker this is. But what do I have to do to earn it wot wot."

He sat down and looked at the abbeybeast, knowing how crafty he could be.

OOC: Okay

IC: "You need to go to Salamandastron and tell Lord Brocktree to come here as a surprise for the Midsummer 15th Abbot's Jubilee feast. And try not to make an entrance", said Mathias. "And if you go, we'll give you some vittles(food)", he continued, watching Darien's face light up.

"For tucker I will do as you ask wot wot. But if you be tricking me Mathias I wouldn't be forgiving you wot wot."

Darin then turned and walked out of the kitchen, a sad look on his face. He hadn't gotten his tucked and now he had to walk somewhere to get someone else.

"Okay, Mother Mella, where is the cake?" Mathias asked. She pinted to the cake and Mathias walked over to it. He pulled his sword free from Scabbard and cut the cake neatly into large slices.

Darin grumbled to himself as he walked to Salamandastron to get Lord Brocktree, he had been taken away from his tucker just to go running on an errand for that abbeybeast. But at least the tucker would be there when he got back, that was for sure.

I've read nearly all the books,

I'd love to play Skipper of Otters
A massive otter with an anchor tattoo on his arm. Carries a sling and an otter javelin

OOC: I know who he is. I've read almost all of them as well. Skipper it is.

IC: They began setting up the tables, waiting for the ravenous Long Patrol and their not so starving Lord.

Darin entered the building and saw Lord Brocktree standing there, he walked straight up to him and said, "Lord, Mathais was wondering if you could join him in the abbey, he's planning a surprise for the Midsummer 15th Abbot's Jubilee feast wot wot."

Lord Brocktree looked at Darin, "I can see that you want to get back there quickly. Tell him that I'll be there quickly."

Darin then turned and ran from the building, his mouth watering at the tucker that was waiting for him.

OOC: Actually, Salamandastron is a hollowed out extinct volcano.

IC: Mathias watched the road, and soon enough, Darin had returned. The Redwallers opened the gates and let him in. Mathias had also spied Skipper of the Otters coming, so he held the gates open.

Skipper strolled merrily down the road towards the abbey. He spied Mathias and gave a bellow "ho there young warrior, how have yer been?" By now he had reached Mathias whom he gave a hearty clout on the back by way of greeting

OOC FOR STRANGER

Mathias coughed as the large otter gave him his rough greeting. "Come in and don't say a word to the Abbot", coughed Mathias, staying at the gate and waiting for the others to walk in.

Darin walked quickly into the abbey and looked around for Mathias, when he saw him he saw that he was with Skipper but that didn't stop him, he was too hungry to care. He rushed quickly over to Mathias and said, "Lord Brocktree said that he would be right over. Now where is me tucker wot wot?"

"Right in the kitchen, you gluttonous beast. You'll eat us out of the Abbey", said Mathias, pointing to the kitchen and shaking his head.

occ: i will be Akamara, the wicked searat corsair
I will wear red tunic and ripped green pantaloons with a jagged sword in a snakeskin belt (from one I killed)
I command a crew of motley vermin, all joined together under the banner of Nightfang and Deathclaw, the twin stoat leaders of a huge vermin fleet. I am a captain in their fleet. I will land by Salamandastron and march toward legendary Redwall Abbey, hoping to capture it and use it as a base for my rebellion against Nightfang and Deathclaw. Afraid of the Bagder Lord of Salamandastron, I skirt his mountain, heading directly for Redwall.
Will this work?
icc:
As Akamara swaggered on deck, holding a half-dead seagull,
Ripnose the steersrat dashed down from the rigging. 'Marm, I just sighted land. An' there's a big rock or something stickin up. Shall I steer towards it?' Akamara laughed. " Huh, I ain't that stupid. Dontcha know that's Slamandastron? That's where the Badger King, or whatever they call him, lives with his perilois Long Patrol. We are steering clear of there, matey. Head up that big river a peice, an' we'll walk from there. I've heard of a big Abbey that'll be ours for the taking. Only folk live there are simple mice, squirrels, oh, and the odd mole. Farmers really. Ha, they havn't seen a real battle in seasons, I'll bet. We c'n use it as a base for our little suprise for the Rulers. Right matey?" She nearly knocked the rat over as she nudged him in the side. "Hahaha, yes Cap'n. Right away, Cap'n." He scurried back to his post as Akamara stared out to sea, gazing at the big mountain, still knawing on the seabird, which had finally stopped it's pitiful struggling. Neither she nor any of the crew noticed a huge striped head gazing out of the forge room in the upper crater.

Lord Brocktree, although hungry for the famed Redwall feast, could not leave his mountain unguarded for seavermin to capture it. So he called for volunteers to stay and guard Salamandastrom while the rest went off to Redwall for the feast. Obviously, no one wanted to stay at the mountain. So the Badger Lord rolled the huge doorstone into place after blockading all entrances. Luckily, he had a hidden entrance in some nearby dunes. Covered over with sand, vermin would be very unlikely to find it. So, drooling at the thought of the famous Redwall vittles, the Long Patrol set off, with Lord Brocktree at their head, going not only to dine at Redwall Abbey, but to warn the goodbeasts there of the danger at paw.

OOC: Beautiful. Beautiful, I say! I am going to suppose from the way you expertly took control that you have read the books? By the way, I could use a LogaLog and a Lord Brocktree, along with some Abbeybeasts and a few hares.

IC: Damug Warfang and his Rapscallions lay near the coast, cursing at their luck. They watched as what remained of their ships was pulled away by the tide. Damug grew angry at the moaning and groaning of his soldiers, and, dressed in his barbarian splendor, the Greatrat moved to the center of the camp. "Tomorrow we will flip the Two-Blade. I garanuntee that it hits land up!" he shouted. At this comment, a few beasts snickered, but were quickly silenced by the Rapmarks.(officers)

Abbey: Mathias lowered the gate and walked up to the walltop. A few dibbuns was all that could be seen on the lawn of the Abbey, laughing and chasing each other. Mathias stood and watched as Lord Brocktree and the Long Patrol approached.

To Morgoth- Should Damug and Akamara join forces, or kill each other, or what? It strikes me that one of of them must go away. Or something. I don't know what to do with Damug.
