It all winds up in DC so do kindly STFU and FO, good sir!Yes, I'm sure you think it's a victory to deny people fair representation merely because another State is doing something you don't like.

The more the Republicans spread themselves thin in Texas, the more of their own incumbents are going to end up endangered as demographic changes continue. We saw the same thing in Virginia, where the Republicans gerrymandered the state legislative districts to kingdom come, and the Dems ended up picking off a bunch of their incumbents a few cycles later.
Oh really? This ain't how it works, dudly.
Oh really?
Ever heard of "white flight", Goofus?
Whites abandoned downtown city centers in the late 1950s and discovered suburbia.
Districts were gerrymandered to contain the black vote and leave the lily-white suburbs Republican.
Then the Fair Housing Act allowed black people (I believe your family referred to them as "jigaboos") began infiltrating all-white enclaves.
The whites decamped again for what eventually became known as "ex-urbs", and the jigs and democratic whites took over the suburbs.
Now cheap housing in the exurbs has made it desirable for the jigs and the poor white folk have no place left to move.
Ergo, creative gerrymandering as a temporary solution. Murica becomes less lily white each year so this is only delaying the inevitable. Your grandchildren will likely be mixed-race, if they aren't already.
Judge says Georgia’s congressional and legislative districts are discriminatory and must be redrawn
A federal judge says some of Georgia’s congressional, state Senate and state House districts are racially discriminatory, ordering the state to draw an additional Black-majority congressional district.
The problem is - you treat this guy's comments seriously - he's a fool & troll - not worth wasting energy onThat is naive thinking. Your rights are absolutely affected when states deny representation in their states. It tips the balance in the federal Congress that tells you what you can or can't do in your own state.
Are you attempting to insinuate "white flight" was not a thing back in the day?Yeah, I'm sure that the color of someone's skin is a necessary thing for your decision making process.
OTOH, there's this phenomenon called "Brain Drain" and it's obvious your family suffered from it's horrible effect on your genetics.
The Federal courts should only get involved when a state's redistricting process fails to follow that state's law(s) on redistricting.
Period.
The Federal courts need to fuck off and not interfere in a state's process or outcome so long as the state is following their own law.
This was exactly the argument made by the Southern states that spent decades disenfranchising Black voters, where technically they could vote but effectively they couldn't. In other words, no one ever just woke up one morning and decided the federal government ought to meddle in the states' business for its own sake.
Not completely. That was a civil rights issue that has been addressed.
And I guarantee you wish it was that way again. That was a civil rights issue that has been addressed. Ironically, during the Jim Crow period black people were always counted for apportionment but they were stymied in their efforts to cast a vote or run for office.
In a landmark victory for voters, a Utah judge struck down the state Legislature’s gerrymandered congressional map and reinstated the citizen-led redistricting reforms voters approved in 2018.
Judge Dianna Gibson ruled Monday that the Utah Legislature’s repeal of Proposition 4 — the voter-approved independent redistricting commission and anti-gerrymandering law — was unconstitutional.
The ruling permanently blocks use of the GOP-drawn 2021 congressional map that split Salt Lake County into four districts, diluting the power of non-Republican voters.
The “GOP”
Or TrumpliKKKans don’t give a fuck what any court says. Well unless it agrees with them
Fuck the Constitution!!
There is no “GOP” or Republican any more
In 2023, they created a U.S. House map that took a sledgehammer to the seven-to-seven seat split between Democrats and Republicans in the state that had been in place in 2022. Their new map passed in 2023 resulted in Republicans winning 10 of North Carolina’s 14 seats in the U.S. House in 2024.
“Republican lawmakers made clear today that they plan to come back to Raleigh and disenfranchise the voters of this state. Instead of lowering costs for families or ensuring Medicaid can stay afloat, they are hellbent on consolidating as much power as they can,” Reives said in a statement. “Call it what it is: They are stealing a congressional district in order to shield themselves from accountability at the ballot box.”
Democrats support it as well. California is on the cusp of making the state even more gerrymandered than it already is, all in the name of “saving democracy.” lol.North Carolina gerrymandered in 2023 to manipulate elections, but they’re preparing to do some more extreme gerrymandering in a desperate attempt to steal one more seat in Congress for Crooked Donnie.
Gerrymandering is real election fraud, and that’s why Republicans support it.
You lack self awareness. New England has zero republican house seats and one senate seat held by Collins. New England has a perfect record, the most gerrymandered region in the country. Poor democrats: BOO! HOO!![]()
I don’t like gerrymandering either. The congressional district where my California home is located is ridiculous. It’s shaped like a long snake with an oversized head and swollen tail.I consistently have stated my opposition to gerrymandering. I’d like to see it outlawed nationwide, and I’ve shared an idea for how redistricting could be done fairly (see #88 in this thread).
On the other hand, you two support gerrymandering if Republicans are doing it.
Stable geniuses.

Looks like half of the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Hispanic Caucus will both get WIPED OUT.I support republican gerrymandering just to catch up!!
