The birthers are at it again, this time however they have help from an elected official. In Georgia they are arguing, not only was he not born in the United States, but you're not a natural born citizen unless your parents were also born in the United States.

"The claims raised Thursday have been brought in courts across the country in dozens of cases, all of them dismissed. Obama released his long-form Hawaii birth certificate last year, quieting but not extinguishing the challenges. Malihi’s ruling earlier this month that Obama should appear gave renewed hope to undeterred “birthers” and made Georgia the latest battleground."

How did I know you couldn't help but post in this thread
Just admit it, you're a closet birther

Not all conservatives are birthers.

No, I am not saying neverendingme is a conservative. It is just dumb.

Hah, no I dont believe all conservatives are.
You have to have a special ability to ignore fact and reality to be a birther.

So this latest case is conceding that Obama might have been born in the United States, but it doesn't make any difference because having one parent who was not American makes him not a "natural born citizen?"

There's a big problem with this theory, which is that we've had presidents in the past whose parents were immigrants. Several, in fact.

Natural born

because c-sections are un'merrcun.

In the beginning we had a lot of presidents that we couldn't have today. But yeah, that's wholly retarded.

Of course, I don't think you should have to be born here in order to run for president- I've never understood that law anyway.

Hey the past is the past. You got to right the wrongs of that past.

Damn progressives.

Sadly, that is exactly what they are saying
He wasnt born here, but even if we cant prove it, you really arent American unless your parents were born here too.

I think it made sense for a country that had just gained its independence from a powerful empire. It's something of an anachronism now.

The thing with Obama is that even if you give the birthers every possible benefit of the doubt, what they are doing is arguing a technicality. If enough people doubted whether or not Obama was sufficiently "American" to be president, he never could have been elected in the first place.

The point was to forestall the possibility of some rich foreign prince getting into power in America. This was not long after Independence, Americans were still a little paranoid about European imperial ambitions. Like how Napoleon III, almost a hundred years after the Constitutional Convention, set up an Austrian Hapsburg prince, Maximilian, as his puppet Emperor of Mexico; so maybe it wasn't such a crazy fear after all, then. But it is now. Is it really any harm if an Austrian prince like Ahnold becomes POTUS today?

Actually, of course, Obama is Lizard People. But his egg really was fertilized and hatched in Honolulu, so there.

Mitt Romney mentioned last night that his father was born in Mexico.

John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone.

Seems to me their citizenship status is just as compromised.

I wonder why Orly Taitz challenged Obama's citizenship, but not these guys?

What could the difference be?

Are lizard people elegable? I'm glancing at the Constitution and I'm not seeing anything about what species you have to be. There is a minimum age, where you were born, how long you've been in the country but nothing denoting you must be human.

Can any of you NIGGER PROTECTORS explain this

Take your time

I'll wait

• The Democratic National Committee’s own election certification language never indicated the eligibility status of Barack Obama

The discrepancy has never been fully explained by those involved.

The Hawaiian Democratic Party refused to sign off on a certification that Barak Hussein 0bama II was eligible to be president. The attorney who approves all legal paperwork that required signatures by the Hawaiian Democratic Party was the same attorney who handled 0bama’s mother's divorce from her Indonesian husband. That attorney had seen 0bama’s original long form birth certificate.

Instead, Nancy Pelosi herself signed that Hawaiian certification.

The proper legal text used on the DNC Party "Official Certification of Nomination" document normally reads as follows:

"THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democrat Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 though 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution."

The bolded words were omitted by the DNC for the first time ever.
