Red States Rebellion
Does Trump fear the prospect of a rival ?
This week, a question was posed.
Are you a True Republican, if you are not completely loyal to Trump ? In America, it is possible to be a Republican, and not be a Trump supporter.
Republicans are rebelling against Trump
Teachers Strikes in Red States

State Rep. Kelly Townsend, R-Mesa, one of the most vocal critics of the #RedForEd movement, introduced a trio of amendments that appeared to target the teacher activism effort.
One of the amendments would have prohibited teachers from using classroom time to espouse political ideology and fined them up to $5,000 if they were found in violation.
The three amendments failed.
Rep. Kelly Townsend, R-Mesa, who has been a vocal opponent of the teacher walkout sought to make it illegal for teachers to "use classroom time to espouse political ideology or beliefs,” language that could be read to preclude teachers from wearing their #RedForEd T-shirts in class. But Majority Leader John Allen, R-Scottsdale, said her proposal was not part of the official budget deal.
Allen also shot down another Townsend proposal which would impose $5,000 fines on districts that close schools on days they were supposed to be open. Permissible exceptions would include invasion, riot, epidemic, plagues of insects and acts of God — but not strikes.

Politically speaking, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia are often called “Trump Country.” But a survey by the Ohio Valley ReSource finds that even in these red states most U.S. senators say Mueller should be allowed to finish his job. Opinions differ, however, on a pending bipartisan bill to protect the special counsel. The region’s Democrats support that measure and the Senate’s most powerful Republican has said he will block it.

What is brewing in West Virginia ?
With one more day left in the early voting period this election cycle, a little more than 50,000 West Virginians have taken advantage of the extra time to cast their ballots.
As of 8:45 a.m. Friday, 50,225 ballots had been cast across West Virginia, according to a news release from Secretary of State Mac Warner.
Kanawha County voters account for roughly 10 percent of that amount, with 5,417 votes being cast in the county as of 3:48 p.m. Friday, according to data at the Kanawha County Clerk’s Office.
The vote totals from the Secretary of State’s Office aren’t official, and those totals only include the early votes and absentee votes reported by each county and entered into the State Voter Registration System, Warner said in the news release.
