It took a minute for Natalie to open her eyes and another minute to finally stir from her sleep. She sat up on the floor, a bit surprised that she was sleeping in the hunter's room (she still refused to acknowledge it as Rafe's new room, though she never showed said contempt when she was around him).
The first thing she did as she rose to her feet was look over her arms. The lack of bruises and cuts that Rafe had given her the previous night were gone, magically healed. Confused, the sound of Rafe's voice made her flinch. Not once had she made eye contact with Rafe as she dragged her feet to the kitchen. The events of the previous night, or in her alternative dream world for that matter, had stuck with her.
As she made her way in to the kitchen, she had the look of a lost little girl as she looked through the cabinets and fridge. She didn't know what Rafe wanted to eat.
