Permanently, Trinique,

It's long past time for us to go home. Both of us want to see the old country again.

English Out of Ireland!

Oh, sorry, force of habit...prolly a bit of familial brainwashing, my dad being in the AOH and really big on our Irish heritage and all...

Well, Remec,
We got half our country back (Republic of Ireland). One day Northern Ireland will be part of the Republic too. :)

*crossing fingers*

That's one of the places I'd love to visit some day. Have run into a few people in real life from there who've already warned me to expect more than the average delay in airports considering my name (Sean Padraic Brennan; I was first born, so Dad went all out in naming me, hehehe).

I have come to the conclusion that Slovenians are merely a different brand of Greeks and Italians. We love to eat. We are meat and potatoes people who own farms and vineyards and like roasting whole lambs over spits at gigantic family get togethers. I have no idea how many cousins and relatives I have, but I can almost guarantee it stretches well past the 300 mark.

I was eleven when I went to Slovenia. We stayed for four months and at one of the family cookouts I saw my first lamb. Roasting. On a spit. Dead. That was the day I became a vegetarian.

The rest of the trip was a frantic flurry of "Je ona bolan? Zakaj hoteti ona ne trošiti mrs?" (Is she sick? Why isn't she eating meat???)

If you're not eating the meat in Slovenia, you must be sick or something.

:D :D :D :D

Zivijo, Trinique, ali govorite slovensko?

...hehe, small world :p

I can sympathise with the goal (uniting Ireland), but I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the IRA.

I suspect it will be generations before Ireland is united.
