Hi all Im a 30 something white male long haul trucker whose wife just died--staying Around the house for awhile trying to deal with everything.

My sincerest condolences go out to you

I think losing your partner, whether it is through death or divorce, is one of the hardest losses to cope with in life. Good luck, and I wish you the best in healing.
 
She just died and you're on Lit looking for companions?
 
People deal with grief and loss in so many ways. I hope you are finding comfort in what works for you

I'm so sorry. We lived near the big river they sing about. We were there for 23 years. My husband was a retired trucker. We love Florida. Loosing a partner at that age is terrible.
Our very best friend our age lost his wife this spring. He was seeing another female friend almost immediately. But for them they were already friends and both lost their partners for the same illness.

I've always said I'll stop doing things I do and never date or marry again. But we don't always make our own plans. Good luck.

Wow! Harleys. Maybe we met at a Bike Week or other Florida bike event.

In the circumstances I can see the appeal of online contact - easier to manage, less expectations, etc. Just be careful - when you're a bit fragile, it can be easy to feel very close to someone very quickly online, but virtual relationships can be quite fickle things. Not always, but more than in the real world.
 
Im really sorry for your loss,I do hope you feel better soon,dont get too depressed
 
Sorry about your loss. I lost my wife 5 years ago and it's tough the pain never goes away it just gets bearable, Take Care.and hang in there.
 
Things are a little easier lately but still feeling kind of down...and would welcome some new online? Friends

Truly sorry for your loss :(. At least you got a lot more sympathy from Lit users for YOUR loss than I did when I suffered a similar tragedy....
