GOP verges on civil war in Alabama after party members call each other ‘fake Republicans’ over 10 cent tax hike

It’s not just the news that’s allegedly fake. According to some Republicans in Alabama, members of their own party have been outed as so-called fakes.

After winning supermajority status in the Legislature last year, Republicans said that they would begin their term by raising the gas tax, which didn’t sit well with older tea party Republicans.

Al.com reported:

On Thursday, the group sent out another press release introducing a new directory of “Fake Republicans.” The directory lists all the House Republicans and places a red “Fake Republican” logo over the eyes of 59 Republican House members who voted in support of the legislation, including House Speaker Mac McCutcheon, state Rep. Bill Poole of Tuscaloosa and the bill’s sponsor, and state Rep. Lynn Greer of Rogersville.

‘There is no plan’: GOP senator admits Pence’s idea to curb Trump’s national emergency is useless

ice President Mike Pence is trying to avert an embarrassing vote from the president’s party denouncing his national emergency on the so-called border “crisis.” But according to at least one Republican senator, it’s a complete waste of time.

Pence told Republicans that he’d be willing to work on another bill that Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) developed that would mandate Congress vote whether to extend Trump’s national emergency declaration after 30 days. If Pence could guarantee the president would sign it, Republicans would be willing to bring it for a vote.

“It was our usual circular conversation,” one Republican senator told The Hill. “Everyone goes around and throws out proposals, and nothing gets resolved.

“There is no plan,” the senator added.

As GOP sinks into the swamp, will not someone throw them an anchor?:D

As GOP sinks into the swamp, will not someone throw them an anchor?:D

It certainly is worthless to take any plan that hinges on Trump (or McConnell--just ask Senator Collins) signing off on it.

McConnell is likely leaving the Senate: MSNBC’s O’Donnell predicts the ‘humiliation’ is coming to an end

“There will be more Republican senators announcing that they will not run for re-election, and the Republican senator with the strongest incentive to not run for re-election is the one with the very worst polling numbers back home in his state — a 33 percent approval rating,” he noted. “At the end of next year, he will have served 36 years in the United States Senate and the voters in his state do not appreciate the 35 years of service that he’s already given them.”

I think he should retire to the farm. His time has come and gone.

Kellyanne Conway’s husband calls for ‘serious inquiry’ into Trump’s mental state: ‘It’s nuts — it’s a disorder’

Prominent Republican attorney George Conway called for a ‘serious inquiry’ into President Donald Trump’s mental health.

Conway, who is married to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, is a longtime conservative activist in Washington, DC.

Conway, labeling Trump as “Summa Cum Liar,” posted of video of Trump inaccurately claiming Judge Amy Berman Jackson exonerated him on the question of collusion with Russia.

Conway offered a harsh analysis of the video.

“Have we ever seen this degree of brazen, pathological mendacity in American public life?” he asked.

Well what did you expect George?

‘Loser’ Trump ridiculed after Republicans join with Dems to shoot down his emergency order: ‘Art of the Fail’

Moments after 12 GOP senators joined in Democrats to pass a resolution to terminate Donald Trump’s emergency resolution on the southern border, Twitter users erupted in mockery of the president for taking a big loss.

According to Reuters, “The 59-41 vote marks the second Senate rebuke of Trump in two days. Senators on Wednesday approved a resolution seeking to end U.S. support for the Saudi Arabia-led coalition in the war in Yemen, rejecting Trump’s policy toward the kingdom.”

Looooooser!:D

‘Coward’ GOP senators pummeled for gutless vote agreeing with Trump’s emergency border money grab

Some are rebelling but a few are revoltingly subservient.

In a brutally blunt column for the New York Times, conservative Bret Stephens called out the 41 Republican senators who rolled over and voted to support President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration money grab to fund his border wall.

According to Stephens. they are the “41 cowards.”

“Trump suggests Ted Cruz’s wife is ugly. The senator from Texas bends the knee<” he wrote. ” Trump reads out Lindsey Graham’s cell number at a campaign event. The senator from South Carolina bends the knee. Jeff Sessions? Paul Ryan? Formerly anti-Trump pundits? The entire conservative movement now looks like an immense prostration ceremony. Only it’s in the service of something the novices know at some level is dangerous and unholy.”

Then he pronounced sentence on the current Republican Party.

“Now the majority of Republicans in the Senate have surrendered to the idea that a president can spend taxpayer money from a partisan whim in express defiance of Congress<” he accused. “It’s one more capitulation to Trumpism in a list that now includes the abandoned beliefs that international alliances make us safer, free trade makes us richer, immigration makes us stronger, a free press makes us freer, human rights make us better, and tyrants should be confronted, not coddled. The Republican Party is burying the legacy of Ronald Reagan in ways Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders could only dream of.”

Fox News refusing to say if Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show was cancelled after Islamophobic rant against Dem congresswoman

Fox News will not be airing a new episode of “Justice” with former Judge Jeanine Pirro on Saturday, Variety reports.

The newspaper noted the move comes, “just days after the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news network said it condemned remarks the outspoken host made about Minnesota Democrat Ihan Omar.”

“We’re not commenting on internal scheduling matters,” a Fox spokesperson said.

Fox in Detox?

Fox News viewers lose it after network hires Donna Brazile instead of lifting Jeanine Pirro’s suspension

Fox News announced this week that it had hired former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile.

The former DNC chair became a target of Fox News personalities after she was accused of leaking a CNN debate question to Hillary Clinton.

In a statement on Monday, Fox News said it had a duty to reach out to Democrats.

Wow, Fox News going leftist? What would Hannity say?:D

Trump is ‘spinning out of control’ so much he can’t even govern: Republican strategist

Republican strategist Susan Del Percio said that President Donald Trump is “constantly spinning out of control” while trying to hold the United States together.

During a Monday MSNBC panel discussion, the Republican advisor explained that innocent people don’t generally freak out like the president did this weekend. And that secure people don’t generally attack others so personally, particularly after they’re dead.

“What is just so scary is that in some ways he is also so transparent,” she said. “What is he concerned about? Why does he go after people? There was a tragedy in New Zealand and everyone talked about the prime minister’s leadership and he knows he doesn’t have any.”

Cadet Bone Spur must have skipped the Leadership Class in the Military school he was sentenced to. I guess he knows everything, 'cause he's a moron, err, stable genius who didn't need Wharton to learn him gooder.

However, his scam is wearing thin with Republicans who are not of the payroll of foreign actors. More and more the Republicans are recoiling as they realize that he could cause the bigglyist decline in equity since Herbert Hover and Calvin Coolidge! He might have saved them a few bucks with his tax cut, but he could cost them a hell of a lot more if he tanks the world economy!

Already we see consumer confidence dropping, people spending less money, buying fewer cars, appliances and thrift stores getting more trade. Folks are fearful that the inevitable Republican Recession is nearer than 2022.

The powers that be must have thought that unlike previous shill's they picked, Trumpski couldn't be bought for a few million, and speaker's fees. I guess they thought he was resourceful enough to skim off what he wanted. Problem is, he is insatiable, more is not enough for the Trumpster, he wants it all.

However, his scam is wearing thin with Republicans who are not of the payroll of foreign actors.

Trump wearing thin with Republicans just now doesn't cut it. They are far over the line in complicity and they all need to be hauled out of office. They don't have to be replaced with Democrats. They could be replaced with Republicans who will take responsibility and do their jobs as Americans first. Clean slate. It's really too late for the current Republicans to escape complicity.

Trump wearing thin with Republicans just now doesn't cut it.-

Clean slate. It's really too late for the current Republicans to escape complicity.

Can we start in the Senate, with Mitch, tomorrow?

GOP speechwriter burns ‘wreck of a human’ Donald Trump over McCain obsession: ‘I’m not a child psychologist’

During an interview on Morning Edition, host Rachel Martin asked Mark Salter why Trump continues to attack McCain after his death.

“I’m not a child psychologist,” Salter replied. “I would guess he craves the sort of admiration from the corners Sen. McCain received it and [Trump] doesn’t get it and resents him for that. I think you generally have to be a wreck of a human being to be jealous of a dead man.”

“The problem isn’t his disrespect to John or John’s family, the problem is Trump,” he continued. “He has no self control and he’s the most powerful man on the planet. That’s what Republicans — all Republicans — for the sake of the party’s future, for the sake of the country, ought to be saying, ought to be addressing. It’s glaringly obvious. This man’s unfit for the office.”

The View’s Ana Navarro unleashes furious takedown of ‘pathological’ Trump: ‘Liar! Liar! Liar!’

Navarro by this time was in high dudgeon, and turned her attention to her own party, as McCain looked on grimly.

“Now, about your question as to Republicans, the reason they are not speaking is because they’re spineless and because they’re afraid of this man,” she said mockingly. “They think he is like Lord Voldemort, and if they mention his name, he will come down and strike them dead politically.”

Republican goes off on epic rant fact-checking Trump’s attacks on John McCain
Roy urged the president to stop bullying a deadman and focus on doing the work Americans elected him to do.

“Our border remains unsecure. Our debt mounts at $100 million per hour. Our healthcare remains too expensive and burdensome. Our military remains stretched thin and in need of clarity of mission. Let’s move on,” Roy closed.

As Lumpy's support erodes from his own insane whineing, he needs to think about who will support him when the Marshals come with handcuffs!

I think indictments are imminent and that Trump knows it. Yhats why hes freaking out.

It's the SDNY that scares the shit out'a Trumpski! Also, too, the State AG looking into his Real Estate fuckery is beyond his control.

Muha ha ha ha:D:D

‘An embarrassed nation’ aches for a president that is ‘normal’: Conservative columnist

Conservative Washington Post columnist George Will is grateful that 2020 won’t be a repeat of 2016, but his most important observation is that Americans are desperately searching for someone that doesn’t humiliate them.

“An embarrassed nation aches for a president who is one thing: normal,” Will wrote in his Monday column.

He noted that typically elections change very little in the way America works. Government is slow and the bureaucracy Republicans complain about protects the country from radical swings from left to right. Will said that 2016 changed all of that.

“The 2016 election changed the nation’s too serene sense of itself as immune to the sort of grotesque electoral outcomes that other nations experience,” he wrote. “After Mueller’s report, the 2020 election will be about various normal issues — health care, the economy’s strength and the equity of its results, etc. — but above all it will be about this: Is the current tone of public life, which is set by the president, the best America can do?”

Top House Republican begs Trump to back off disastrous Obamacare repeal

On Wednesday, top administration officials and members of the Republican leadership aired their displeasure that President Donald Trump is bent on gutting Obamacare ahead of the 2020 election.

Axios reports that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Trump to back off.

“As Bloomberg’s Sahil Kapur points out — health care was the top issue for 2018 midterm voters, and voters who cared most about health care favored Democrats over Republicans by more than 50 percentage points.”

50% could mean Rethugs may not get reelected!

Trump is still an ‘incompetent’ and ‘lousy’ president even without Russia drama: Conservative columnist

Attorney General Bill Barr released his findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report and concluded that Trump and his campaign did not conspire with Russia.

However, that did not change Boot’s mind about Trump.

“He is guilty of being a lousy president,” Boot said.

He then scrutinized the way Trump reacted to the report.

“Trump was venomous and vengeful. He repeated his Stalinist assertion that the media are the ‘Enemy of the People’ and vowed to exact revenge against the assorted traitors and evil-doers who had probed his connections with Russia,” he said. “Trump is reminding us that he lacks even an iota of the dignity or decorum that we used to take for granted in the Oval Office.”
