Reasons why I can't go to some threads?

I am new and was wondering if there is something to the fact that I can't view all pages? Sometimes, I will click on a link to something else here and it tells me I don't have access to it. It also does it when I try to see who is online.

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

that's odd, all of those should work. there are some exceptions which usually involve moved threads or other moderator-related things.

got a specific thread in mind?

I can't even remember which thread it was now. I think it was the picture thread of _me_. I went to click a couple and it sent me to that page saying I didn't have access. And then, it did the same for me when I clicked "who's online." *shrugs shoulders.*

The item you are trying to display is probably a picture which has been "removed" because it violates Lit's rules.

Technically, truly deleting things from a BBS is awkward because it throws off the indexing. Therefore, permissions are set to make things inaccessible (except to god and the moderators), and things moved to these "black hole" locations. When you follow the links, you are denied access.

What about the who's online option though. It takes me to the same place when I try to go there? Thanks for the responses.

I looked at several pages, but did not find a link for "Who's online option". Would you please post exactly what page you're displaying, and then the link on that page you're trying to follow?

The address of the page you're viewing should be in the address bar.

Right clicking the link (you can't successfully follow) will give you a menu, with an option like "copy shortcut" or "copy link location" or "copy link address" (depends on which browser you're using). Clicking "copy..." will put the target link (http://...) on the clip board so you can paste it into your reply.

Here's some "official" information about missing threads.

Chargergirl, the moderator who wrote this, may be the best Lit's ever had.

When I click on "Currently Active Users," I get the same message. However, the list of users who are online is visible, so it's not necessary to click on anything.

FYI: don't use the Currently Active Users list to send unsolicited messages to female-sounding usernames. That's a good way to occupy a place of "honor" on this thread. ;)

Well Hmmm... we will let you know when you can join our club

now back to the fun :D

I was reading this and a while back had the same issue (only for a different reason--I wanted to know who could see when I was online!)
My best guess is that the "Who's online option" in question is the one in the Forum Jump drop-down (http://forum.literotica.com/online.php)

Getting to that page isn't necessary though since there is a list on the forum index page (http://forum.literotica.com/index.php) it may be hidden so you could have to click one of those little \/ things to make it visible. Folks using the "invisible" option won't be listed on there so if you don't want your name on the list that's the way to go.
If you're looking for a complete member list go to http://forum.literotica.com/memberlist.php but fair warning! there are a lot of us!!

I hope that's of some use!
