I do not think that is strange at all; unusual perhaps, bordering on rare, but not strange. And, certainly one of the most harmless fantasies I've heard of yet. I would have to agree with you on your surmise that this is from a previous life. (One of those memories that survived because it was so pleasant and comforting for you to recall.) I would be curious enough to ask, are there any other things from this time and place that you feel familiar with? I know one other person who has a fantasy so similar that it (past life) is the only explanation that makes sense to me.
